Jon Boschen's Classic Industrial Film Showcase" No. 2: "Direct Mass Selling's Technicolor Harmony" Two 1930's Jam Handy films, "Color Harmony" (1938) and "Seeing Green" (1937), are the subject in this installment of "Jon Boschen's Classic Industrial Film Showcase". Both films were produced by the Jam Handy Organization and were entries in the studio's iconic short film series being produced for Chevrolet, 'Direct Mass Selling'. Unlike other entries in the series which consisted of either black and white live action films or Technicolor animated cartoons, these two films utilized the black and white to Technicolor technique as a way to enhance their subject matter. It is now available for viewing on youtube: å

I have these two photos of my grandmother dating from about 1936. The photo was taken in England, where my grandmother was raised from birth until she was 9. (Her parents were American expatriates). I'm just trying to identify the car...it resembles a Graham Crusader, but the vehicle in these photos has a much wider and rounder grill. There are no spokes in the wheels and the body of the car is quite round. If this helps narrow anything down, the head of this family (my great grandfather) was a chemical engineer for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Because he was incredibly loyal and dedicated to Goodyear, I wouldn't be surprised if he made sure that the car had Goodyear tires. Please reply if anyone thinks they know the make of this car. Here are the two photos: file://localhost/Users/eolneybell/Desktop/Screen%20Shot%202013-03-15%20at%207.22.19%20PM.png file://localhost/Users/eolneybell/Desktop/Screen%20Shot%202013-03-15%20at%207.22.38%20PM.png
