  1. Hello, I can't work out how the hand throttle lever/linkage on my 1927 RHD tourer connects to the foot throttle pivot! I have attached a photo of where I have it at the moment but this would work back to front and the button on the dash would be pulled in when the foot throttle in pressed in! I am hoping someone has a close-up photo of their setup they can share or a description of how it should be positioned. I understand the LHD cars have a long pivot rod on the firewall so may not be similar enough to help confirm the setup on my car in Australia. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Ryan
  2. Hello,, I am currently restoring a 1926/27 Pontiac in Australia. After pulling apart the clutch I have found a worn/broken section I would like to replace. It appears to be a kind of 'thrust bush' and is made of a graphite looking material. It pushes directly onto a flat plate which is held in place by the pressure plate forks. The bush is shown in the photo below and has an OD of 2.5", an ID of 1" and is 1/2" thick. The housing is still in good condition. I was going to try tracking down some new graphite material or maybe replace the bush with a proper bearing that fits into the original housing. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I am new to vintage cars but am hoping someone may have some experience with these parts and suggestions they can share? Thank you and regards, Ryan
  3. I am looking for some mechanical advance return springs for an Australian 1926/7 Pontiac Tourer. I hope someone is able to help Cheers, Ryan
  4. Hello, Work on my Austalian 1927 Tourer is progressing. I have a question about the original radiator cap thread size. I have come across two radiators that seem to be originals however their cap thread diameters are about 43mm (1.70 inches). The problem is the radiator caps I have seen have thread diameters of about 55mm (2.17 inches). I don't have the originals of either from my car so am not sure which is correct? I'm hoping someone will be able to confirm. Thank you, Ryan
  5. Hello, I have recently inherited my great, great Uncle's 1927 Pontiac Tourer in Australia. He bought it new and left it to my dad who sadly died last year before he got around to restoring it. With assistance from another forum member I have worked out this would have been a 1926 model in the USA (although I have also learnt year classification was not strictly used until a few years later). I have been searching in Australia for the correct gauges but haven't come across any. It would have once looked something like this: It currently looks like this: I hope someone is able to assist Thank you and regards, Ryan
