1. A friend of my grandfather has been telling us for years that GM car's from the early to mid-1930s had chassis made of wood and then were boxed in by metal? But my grandfather has also heard that 1920s GM cars were the same way. My question is, is there any truth to this? Thanks in advance. Vintagecarguy.
2. I would be interested in getting any advice/help/experience the group may have on restoring steering wheels for early 30's GM cars. Specifically, I am restoring a 1932 Pontiac. Any advice here? Anybody have experience with the Eastwood or POR-15 restoration kits? Any help appreciated.
3. Jon Boschen's Classic Industrial Film Showcase" No. 2: "Direct Mass Selling's Technicolor Harmony" Two 1930's Jam Handy films, "Color Harmony" (1938) and "Seeing Green" (1937), are the subject in this installment of "Jon Boschen's Classic Industrial Film Showcase". Both films were produced by the Jam Handy Organization and were entries in the studio's iconic short film series being produced for Chevrolet, 'Direct Mass Selling'. Unlike other entries in the series which consisted of either black and white live action films or Technicolor animated cartoons, these two films utilized the black and white to Technicolor technique as a way to enhance their subject matter. It is now available for viewing on youtube: å
4. For sale are front seats for a sedan (both backs fold forward) of GM ancestery?? I have attached photos of the seats for your inspection and am open to any questions or suggestions as to the exact original use of these seats. One thing I neglected to do was measure them before placing this ad. I will do that ASAP so that I can either add it to this or be ready to answer questions. I would like to have $250.00 for pair plus shipping (or free pickup at my door in Columbia, MO) Thank you!
5. Can anyone help identify this part for me? -Aldo
