  1. For Sale: 1940 Buick Super Model 51 - $12,000 - El Paso, TX 1940 Buick 51 - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale (craigslist.org) This is a partially restored car. Frame off with chassis like new. Body painted in two tone green. Interior is original with all original switches and instruments in place. All gauges work except for the gas gauge. Glove box clock is not working. Radio is tube type and makes noise when warmed up but does not tune. This is an excellent candidate for a minimal cost full restoration as much of the work has already been done. Five new tires. Very clean engine compartment for straight eight engine. Radiator rebuilt. Three speed standard shift on the column. Maryland Title. Contact: no phone listed. Copy and paste in your email: f112edb6428736548032bd70bb5634a9@sale.craigslist.org I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this For Sale: 1940 Buick Super Model 51 sedan.
  2. My Dad Bought this project a number of years ago, and though it actually didn't need alot, was just never able to get to it. (He's 80 in a month and still works 60 hours a week) It was a nice turn key car that the owner said developed a noise in the lower end, so he pulled the original engine out and was going to put a 350 Chevy in. Fortunately he decided to move from NJ to FL and not take the car so he didn't get that far and the car went up for sale, that's when my Father bought it. The man also had a 38 Cadillac I bought and drove for a little while then sold to my uncle that still has it. He didn't have junky cars. My Father is realizing he's never going to get to it at this point so he has decided to sell it. He has clear paperwork in his name. In his ownership it has always been stored inside as you can see by the condition of the interior and paint. The bumpers have all been nicely rechromed along with the guards and are still wrapped up in heated dry storage. He has rechromed grilles as well and a beautifully restored nose piece that always seems to be smashed on these. He also has acquired 2 correct running engines. They both run well. The motor mounts have been rebuilt as well. Brakes and tires were all new but it's been quite some time so they would need going through and good inspection. There are a bunch of extra parts including a twin carb setup with a restored twin carb aircleaner. Someone with a little time and especially knowledge of these Buicks could probably have it together in fairly short order. The woodgraining on the dash and window moldings is very nice and original. The car is Much nicer than alot of the mouse nest piles I have seen out there. The color is a pearl White so it's not technically correct but the car wears it quite well. The body looks very good, but I haven't gone over it with a fine tooth comb so I don't know how clean it was before paint, but from the looks of what I can see and I know of my father it was probably a very good car before the paint as he hates rust. He has all parts not shown and I can get more photos if necessary. These are his photos so they aren't quite as good as I would have taken. These are fresh photos as the car sits today. He's asking $7500 OBO for everything. He might consider a turnkey decent 60's or older car or truck trade that doesn't need much of anything to drive. Maybe even a little newer on the truck. Or if It's something I like we might be able to figure something out. The car is in Long Lake NY You can call him directly at 518-727-2932 I may be able to answer some questions as well, or relay a message but it will take a little longer to get a response. You can forward any trade pictures to me as he doesn't have an email.

  6. This 1941 Buick started life as a Model 46S, painted black from the factory. About 20 years ago it was subjected to a frame-off restoration, including an engine rebuild, dual carbs, "batwing" air cleaner, 3.90 rear end. It was repainted the authentic 1941 Spring Color, Aberdeen Beige. The car was converted to 12V and an alternator installed. Vintage A/C has been installed and the cooling system is filled with Evans coolant. The radio buttons are there but the radio has been removed, however a CD player and FM receiver are installed in the glove box along with the A/C controls. The original 6V clockworks were replaced with 12v works behind the original face. The engine-turned dash panels were replaced by woodgraining - not correct but pretty and consistent with the rest of the interior trim. Recent mechanical/cosmetic work includes: Transmission and clutch rebuilt Rear end repacked Carpets cleaned and reinstalled Carburetors adjusted Oil and filter changed Tachometer installed A/C system recharged Valve springs replaced and valves adjusted New period-correct battery installed The 6.50 x 16 Firestone tires are NOT new, but look decent and ride well; the spare has never been on the car. The car starts right up, runs and drives like a Buick should. Smooth uptake through the gears, smooth and confident stopping. The car runs at 180 degrees in most weather, however in Texas summer with the A/C on it runs hotter (190-200F). But it does not vapor lock and won't boil over, and starts even when hot. Oil pressure is 40-50 pounds at startup, 30 pounds during warmed-up driving, and 15-20 pounds at hot idle. Currently, the car is garaged and is driven about 5-10 miles once per week. Perfect? Nope. There are minor imperfections in the paint and upholstery as one would expect from touring and driving in the 20 some-odd years since restoration, with some discoloration on the interior rear deck behind the rear seat. You can see that the steering wheel has not been recast. All that said, the car is a great little driver; it comes with manuals and receipts from the restoration and subsequent maintenance work. The car is offered on an as-is, where-is, basis, without warranty, and shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, however I would welcome personal inspections (by appointment, please) and additional questions about the car. Asking: $24,500 Very Negotiable

  8. 1967 Cadillac Eldorado Project Classic Driver Project Restore Coupe... (craigslist.org) 1967 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe (The Rich Man's Sports Car). 429 ci, 340 hp, 480 lp-ft, 4 barrel, TH425 automatic. Has new tune-up (points, condenser, wires, cap, rotor, timed and dwelled), new S/S resonator, tailpipe. Has a newer starter and battery. Runs and drives great, tires like new (but has age). I would drive this car anywhere. The "patina" is great. This is one of two years for hide-away headlights and the first year for front wheel drive. 12. For sale on Ebay: 1955 Chrysler Imperial Newport Coupe "Springtime Edition" in Hillsboro, OR - Opening bid of $1,955 - No phone # provided. Contact Seller through Ebay: 0218jcg Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1955-Chrysler-Imperial/124448818148/the-only-1-remaining Seller's Description: “Springtime Edition” 1955 Imperial Newport Coupe Mileage: 98066 VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): C5512278 “Springtime Edition” 1955 Imperial Newport Coupe Highlights: “Springtime Edition” Newport Coupe – the only 1 remaining! Highly original condition with one repaint in correct Sunburst Yellow & Platinum Original drivetrain 331 CI/250HP FirePower Hemi V-8 engine Dual exhaust with through-bumper exit Automatic transmission Power steering Power brakes Power seats Power windows Very rare three-tone white, yellow, and green leather interior In the Spring and Summer of 1955, Imperial offered a special “Springtime” color combination of a Sunburst Yellow body with a Platinum top. Very few of these were built and, according to the records of the Walter P. Chrysler Club and the Imperial Club, this is the only one remaining. Chrysler Historical Services provided us with the Production Record (see picture) certifying that this Imperial was delivered with the stated options and was one of the original Sunburst Yellow body with a Platinum top “Springtime” cars. This Imperial was built on July 19, 1955 and is one of only 3,418 Imperial Newport Coupes built in 1955. It’s equipped with power windows, power seats, Town & Country radio with rear speaker, and rare factory air conditioning. The fresh air scoops for the A/C are mounted on top of the rear fenders and the A/C evaporator and blower are located in the trunk. The 1955 Imperial, advertised as the “Flagship of the Forward Look” and as “The Finest Car America Has yet Produced”, was the first Imperial completely designed by Virgil Exner, Styling Director of Chrysler Corporation. It was also the first Imperial built on its own dedicated production facility within the new Imperial Division of the Chrysler Corporation. This 1955 Imperial Newport Coupe was originally purchased at Town & Country Motors in Indianapolis, IN. Finished in its original colors of Platinum over Sunburst Yellow with a re-upholstered gold Eagle cloth and white leather interior. This coupe and has been driven on multiple Chrysler Club tours and was awarded a best in class trophy by Keith Martin and Donald Osborne at the 2017 Forest Grove Concours d’ Elegance. It received a new interior and was painted before being acquired by the seller 6 years ago. Power comes from its original 331 cubic inch, 250 HP, 340 lb/ft torque Hemi paired with a 2-speed Powerflite automatic transmission. This Imperial is offered with its Chrysler Production Record, a copy of its data card, the original sales brochure and owner’s manual, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name. This Imperial has its original engine, transmission and rear axle and, as far as I know, has never been taken apart. Much of the brightwork has been rechromed although there is some pitting on the original side brightwork and a few other pieces. All of the interior, trunk, and exterior lights work and the four power windows and power seats work as they should plus the A/C blows cold. All gauges work correctly. The radio and clock are not working. On the underside everything looks as it should with a general thin coat of factory applied undercoat. Mounts, rocker bottoms and floors are solid & original. New brakes, brake lines, and Coker tires were installed 6 years ago. The odometer reads 98,066 which I believe is actual mileage but I can’t guarantee that. The car drives beautifully with no issues I’m aware of. Many spare parts go with the vehicle. Additional pictures are available as well as a cold start video. Examples of these luxurious cars are rarely available, and few show the level of preservation displayed here. This remains a car for the truly serious owner desiring exclusivity

  20. For sale on Craigslist: 1969 Chrysler Newport Convertible in Amherst, NH - $5,000 - Contact Shelia or Bob: 518 669 47 three two Link: https://nh.craigslist.org/cto/d/amherst-1969-chrysler-newport/7231395402.html Seller's Description: 1969 Chrysler Newport Convertible VIN: CE27G9C203585 odometer: 69205 paint color: blue title status: clean Rare find! 1969 Chrysler Newport Convertible with 69,000 original miles. 1st year of the fuselage body style and one of only two years for the fuselage style convertible. Only 2,169 Newport Convertibles were produced for the 1969 model year. I purchased this one from the original owner in July of this year with the intent of restoring or creating a restomod. It was a nostalgic purchase as my father was a Chrysler Corporation employee in the 60's and 70's and had a Newport like this one as a company car. Unfortunately, the project I was hoping to finish is not completed and I do not have indoor storage for it this winter as a result. While it is covered, this is far too nice a car to leave to the NH winter elements as it has been in storage the past 47 years. My loss is someone else's gain. Below is the history, cosmetic condition and mechanical condition to the best of my knowledge. History The vehicle was purchased new by a lady in Nashua, NH in 1969. It was garage kept most of the time it was used from 1969 - 1975. I have the original NH title and the last registration from 1975 which I will include with the purchase. It is currently registered in NH on a transferable registration which be conveyed to the new owner. After the vehicle was taken off the road, it was moved to conditioned storage where it remained until July of this year. I purchased the vehicle from her son who obtained the vehicle from her estate. Cosmetics Interior - The interior is in very nice condition as reflected in the photos. The blue carpet shows normal wear and stains but has no holes or excessive wear. The rear vinyl seat is in very nice condition, as is the front, with the exception of two seam separations on the driver's side which should be able to be repaired by a trim shop. The dash has no cracks. The door panels are also in nice condition with a couple small cuts. The passenger front window crank is missing the knob. Exterior - The body is in driver level condition. The car had one repaint, is in good condition and can most likely be buffed to a shine. I only noted one scratch near the trunk lock. The quarter panels have both been repaired as they did not escape New England rust concerns. The patched areas were fabricated and would need to be redone for a complete and correct restoration. The panels are wavy in spots and the trim moldings were misplaced after the repair and not included. The white convertible top is original and is still plyable. It has seam separation near the zippered glass rear window on both sides as reflected in the photos which may be able to be repaired to retain originality. Much to my surprise, the door and window seals are also still plyable and not dry rotted due to its inside storage. All sheet metal forward of the prior quarter panel repair are extremely solid and in very nice condition (rockers, doors, hood and fenders). The only area I note that possibly had a slight repair forward of the rear quarters is the passenger lower front fender as the Pentastar is missing. No signs of substantial repair are there though either. It appears everything forward of the quarters was repaint only as the panels are extremely straight and door seams / inner fenders show no repair or rust and are original. Bright work (bumpers, door handles, moldings and trim) show pitting but no rust. All can be easily re-chromed or painted depending on the buyers intent for use / restoration. Original hubcaps are included and in nice condition. One has some small dings on the edge which should be able to be repaired. Lights and front grille are in nice condition. Front bumper does have some small dings on the top by the hood which should be able to be repaired as well. Original trunk mat is in poor condition but still installed. The car also comes with the original blue convertible boot. All glass is in very nice condition as well with no chips or scratches. Other Exterior The trunk floor panel appears to have been replaced. Most likely at the time of quarter panel repair. I have not had the car on a lift to fully inspect the undercarriage, but, here is what I can tell from the ground. The frame and floor panels appear extremely solid. A photo of the carpet lifted on the passenger side is posted to reflect floor condition. While the stub frame is in overall good condition, it will require a patch weld on the driver side near the mount to the frame. It is the salt side of the car and from what I can tell may have had some residue which was not cleaned from the inner portion of the frame when the car was put in storage. Thus, there is approximately a 6" area of the lower box and side which will need a patch. The stub frame is still very solid other than that area and there is no sag to the car or frame. The inner front fenders reflect some surface rust under the hood but are extremely solid both under hood and in the wheel houses. Mechanical The Newport is equipped with a 383 V8 and 3 speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. According to the prior owner it was last started and driven for a brief time locally approximately 6 years ago. It has a newer Fram oil filter on it so it appears he did the right thing and changed the oil before running it. I have not started the car as I did not have the opportunity to drain the fuel and certainly did not want to run 6 year old fuel through the system. I confirmed the engine turns freely by turning the crank with a breaker bar. The radiator is original, but, will need to be re-cored if you wish to maintain its originality. Original plyable radiator hoses and clamps are still on the car too. It will need the obvious; tires, brakes, brake hoses (left front burst when removing from the trailer), brake cylinders / seals tune up, fluids, battery etc. There are extra steering / suspension parts included (ball joints etc) and a pair of front rotors which will need to be turned to remove oxidation. The spare tire and jack are also in the trunk. I confirmed the convertible top motor works. While I did not put the top down it is engaging with the control button. AM radio is operational as are the exterior and interior lights. Windshield wipers also operate. Also included with the sale: One set of original Pentastar ignition and door keys. Original 1969 Newport Owner's Manual and Glove Box Collateral (Warranty Book & Airtemp Flyer) 1969 Chrysler / Imperial OEM Shop Manual The vehicle will need to be transported as it is not running and has the ruptured front brake line. The vehicle rolls freely with no brake lock up. It will easily go on and off a trailer with a come a long or winch. Payment will need to be via cash or EFT. This may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to find a documented, pedigreed two owner 69,000 mile Newport Convertible for an easy restoration. It is a great basis to start with and will well be worth the investment. I am only sorry I do not have the time or storage to retain and complete. Thank you for your interest. Please reach out with any questions. Additional photos also available on request.
