  2. This door that is from a car made between 1914 to about 1918, and appears to be coach built. The latch is stamped : JOS. N. SMITH & CO DETROIT PATENTED MAR 24 14 5052, so 1914 is the earliest it could have been produced. The original wood is intact, the latch and hinges are intact. It is contoured inwards at the latch end to match the body contour. It measured around 21 3/4" wide. Does anyone recognize the make of car this door is from ?
  3. I just became an owner of this Reatta. One of my good old friends handed it over to me. No remote and only two keys were given. I just do not understand how the door lock was supposed to work. Trying to lock it, I turn the door key counterclockwise and nothing happens. Turn it and hold for 2 seconds, I hear some kind of electric actuator, but still it does not lock. Turn it clockwise, nothing happens, and doors do not lock. I try the lock/unlock buttons (small ones on right) on the door panel, and it does not help. I force the bigger sliding switch (big one on left) to lock po

  6. Does anyone have any good inside door panels for a '73 Riv??? The door panels from a '71 - '73 Olds Toronado are almost identical. Or if anyone knows of a person who repairs vinyl up in the Northwest I would like to get his name. Not sure but it might be possible to save my one panel. The other one is okay.
  7. As part of replacing both front windows on my 55 4DR Roadmaster, each being cracked, I am replacing the window seal trim pieces. Thankfully the seller of the car included two brand new windows, custom cut... Upon removing the window on the driver's side I noted that the support channel is badly corroded. I am looking to replace it and suspect this is the best option... 1955 Buick Restoration Parts Window Sash Channel - Door - 10-045X This is the channel into which the window sits and is held seemingly just by some rubber. I also want to replace that rubber that sits inside that channel. It is
  8. Has anybody had the front door window seals duplicated for the 1933 Packard sedans? This year's front windows were a one year only barn door style. My rubber has gotten very hard and cracked, I want to replace them as well as the rear quarter window seals. I have a company that can reproduce them for me but it will not be inexpensive. I was hoping someone may have or know someone that already has gone to the trouble of making these window seals. If not, would anyone be interested in buyer them if I went ahead and had them reproduced? Your input is greatly welcome. Bob Henry
