  2. 1929 Chevy truck frame with drive train complete. Engine will turn over by hand. All there,obviously needs restoration.. $2750 Possible trade for a newer project pre 1975??

  4. Priced reduced to $3800 for quick sale! Up for sale is this cool 1957 GMC long-bed step side project truck with 98" bed and large rear window. The truck has more than $3500 in brand new parts from Brothers Trucks (see below) and more than 200 hours in labor. The bodywork is more than 85% complete with new doors, cab corners, cab and fenders filled, inner fenders smoothed and filled. Please note that this truck is not painted black. It's in gray primer. Some photos were taken in the rain. The truck has new body parts from Brothers Truck Parts including; doors ($1400) bed front panel ($130) rolled rear pan ($180), bed sub-floor ($140), radiator support and other miscellaneous patch panels. I have a good large rear window and deluxe GMC trim which goes around it, along with a rare front GMC emblem. It does need a front windshield and door/vent windows. The previous owner stated engine is in good condition with less than 40k miles on it, it is a 1993 Chevy 350 from a truck with AC pump and TBI. I believe the transmission is a 700R4 and appears to be rebuilt. The truck has engine mounts crossbars and transmission mounts from Brothers ($180). The front suspension has been converted to mono-leaf ($480) and front disk brakes with under the floor master cylinder conversion ($900) also from Brothers. It has a large 20 gallon aluminum fuel tank installed under the bed ($550) and the original fuel door in the cab has been smoothed. The truck also comes with the original GMC front bumper, and grill. (needs interior, paint, electrical and assembly.) The only body parts which still need work are the rear fenders, they are in fair condition but do have small rust issues at the bottom. I also have a new radiator, some weather stripping, bolt kits, 2 new chrome headlight bezels ($90) and miscellaneous trim items. Clear CA title and current registration. Doors are not property hung, and aligned in photos. Bed is not attached to frame. No tailgate, or wood bed included. Brothers trucks, Classic Parts, Classic Industries, and LMC Trucks have everything you need to finish this truck at affordable prices. (Western cars cost less to restore due to lack of rust found in east coast trucks)power steering, power disc brakes, and a modern V-8 engine and transmission and with Lokr floor shift. 70K Engine and tranny came from a 1977 Chevy El Camino. This 1949 chevrolet pickup truck Original body in good condition, Stored inside for years with a good title, western truck, from dry Texas. Good fun driver truck to enjoy now at highway speeds, thanks to the modern V-8, with cooler added, automatic transmission, power steering and power disc brakes.   7. First, the background: In 1977, my Papa bought a brand new Chevrolet C10 Custom Deluxe truck. That was the same year I was born, so for as long as I've known my Papa, I've known that baby blue Chevy truck. Whenever I've thought about him I've thought about it, and vice versa. Over the past few years his health has been declining and he's been unable to drive, so about 6 years ago he sold "'Ol Blue". Well, I recently did some research and found the owner. I called him up and told him my sappy story and, while he wasn't looking to sell it, he knew why I wanted it. He was very good to me on the price and sold it to me for what he would have gotten out of it as scrap - $500. When I called my Papa and told him what I had done, he went dead silent. After a moment he began to speak again and his voice was cracking when he told me that he was very happy that I found it and that he regretted ever selling it. He was proud of the fact that, before he sold it, the only people to ever drive it were him and his children. I assured him that it was back in the family to stay this time. While I only paid $500 for it, I wouldn't sell it for a million. It's the greatest investment I've ever made. Now, the restoration: Here's where I need some input. I want to restore it to like new condition, leaving it just as it is with Papa's "touches". I've found someone who is willing to do the frame off restoration (minus engine & transmission, but I've got a guy for that) in exchange for a vehicle that I own outright. I told him that we would draw up a contract so that there would be no confusion about the job and our terms. I've already looked at some of the guys other work and he appears to be pretty good at it. However, I've never entered into this type of project before, so I don't know what kind of things to add into a contract like this. I am going to reserve the right to a third party inspection and to check on the vehicle unannounced during normal business hours, but I don't know what types of technical specifications to add (i.e. types of materials or processes to be used).   10. Selling my 1964 Buick Riviera, car is in good shape, ready to cruise! or perfect restoration project. car gets alot of attention where ever i go. been driving it to wrk everyday this summer. Selling as i have no need for this car. Acquired through trading of business equipment. Car is not perfect, floor boards are rotted in front only, was caused by lack of weatherstripping and sitting outside. got car from older couple who stated they were second owners. they drove this car to me from Petosky, MI. They had told me that the 28,000 miles on the odometer is original, however i cannot verify and not refecting price of vehicle. I no longer have a trunk key and cannot currently access trunk. Lock cylinder is easily replaceable, however i decided not to try and gain access and cause damage, this can be a repair to be completed by new owner.   11. I have some original parts from a 1935 chevy 5 window coupe that we did a street rod project on that I am wanting to sell, but I have no idea what they are worth. Also have some 1974 Firebird H/O 455 ram air parts I have: original front and rear bumper with guards re-chromed with mounts 4 red spoke wheels with tires and original hub caps original heater and radiator, both in good shape for their age. 4 snowflake (gold) wheels 455 heads with valves and springs a/c compressor does anyone know what these would be worth or where i could go to find out so i can sell them to someone who needs them for their project.   13. 1980 Chevy 1/2 ton pick-up. Original owner. Must sell within 2 weeks. We bought this truck new in October 1979 and have kept it ever since. It was last registered in 1991. Asking $2250 or best offer. We live near Austin, Texas. Here are the details: Long Bed body. Truck is in good, solid condition. Texas title. Truck is complete but needs some assembly to finish. Great project for a beginner Rebuilt 4-bolt 350 V8. Engine was started but not broken in. has not been started in 7 years. Have 2 automatic transmissions: 350 and 700R4 with overdrive kit Factory dual gas tanks Rare GM factory off-road suspension. The truck looks normal sitting on 35" tires. Weld aluminum wheels and 35" tires. Re-upholstered front seat, sun visors Factory shop manual One unopened gallon of black acrylic lacquer and thinner included to finish off the tailgate.   15. I have a 1958 Chevy Del Ray, and I pulled the old 235 L6 out of it because it was locked up, and replaced it with a rebuilt 1969 Chevy 307 out of a '69 El Camino. I am having a hard time understanding how to put the clutch linkage back together. I have to change the bell housing on the transmission. I should also note that I am using the original 3 speed manual transmission that was in the car. The question I have, is will the original clutch linkage work in this application? Any help would be appreciated!

  19. You are looking at a running 1949 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe 4 Door Sedan in original condition. The car has a straight 6 with a manual transmission, three on the column. The exterior of the car is in excellent condition for its age. The interior needs to be completely redone. The engine is in good condition. The car originally had leather seats, and came with white wall tires and temperature controls. The original owner bought the car in 1949. The car was later passed down to his son, who did some work to the vehicle. He then gave the car to a friend when he passed away, where the car sat in a garage for 2 years,it also had a tune up last year, and then it was sold to me. I have what I believe to be, all records of service from myself and all previous owners. I have to begin, the original Owners Service Policy, with the original owners name and delivery date (September 30th, 1949), as well as the original owner’s manual. On 12/28/1972 the vehicle had a new battery put in, which came with a Sears Battery Guarantee. Then on 5/25/2000 the original owner’s son bought a Douglas Battery and a Wagner Light from Fisher Auto Parts. The last receipt we have for mechanical work is a receipt from 07/17/2000 where the original owners son bought a 10x10 TPL Cut To Pattern and a 16x20 TPL Cut To Pattern. The owner did most of the repairs himself. The vehicle was apparently also recently registered with NYS DMV. According to the NYS Registration Document I have here the registration expired in 11/17/08. According to the owner’s manual the car originally came under manufactures warranty. I have contacted Chevrolet directly to see if the warranty was still valid. Unfortunately the car is no longer under warranty. This is a beautiful car, perfect for restoration. After 62 years the car still runs with the turn of a key. While the brakes have been worked on they were never finished, therefore the only brake that works at the time is the hand brake. I hope that this car will stun and impress you as much as it has impressed me. I will take $3,200 or best offer.

  22. My wifes grandfather is fianally going to sell his 1953 Chev 1300 series Half Ton Truck. His father was the original owner and was barely used. It has 53000 original miles. The truck has been stored indoors for the past 15 years but has sat outside before that. Yes there is lots of surface rust and some patches of rust spots through. Still has all of its original parts. The fender and grill are in the truck bed. The rad has been stored in the farm house. IT was always his intent to restore it but now due to his age and health he cannot.   24. Hello all, I am in the market for a '65 SS Chevelle that needs some work. I do most mechanical and body work myself and am looking for a project car with a price cap of $7,000.00. Prefer the factory L79 (327cid/350HP) motor and A/C option if possible. Over time I will add full disk brakes, freshened engine, transmission, and interior, high-end paint, and make it a daily driver. I just finished a V8 914 and raced for a couple of years but having two seats became impracticle for this newer Realtor. Does anyone know or can direct me to someone who would know about how much this vehicle would be worth.
