  1. Potter & Potter Auctions, Inc. of Chicago is conducting a two-day auction that includes over 1000 lots, many of which are vintage posters, in a wide range of categories. Included in the sale is a very strong selection of automobilia, including vintage posters, shop manuals, a massive GM photo archive, and much more. Seen here are a few of the vintage posters going up for auction. The Goodyear material came from the attic of a service station in Texas and was received by us in the original mailing tubes, as the posters were never displayed. The sale will be conducted live in our Chicago gallery on Sept. 19th and 20th. Absentee and phone bids are accepted, and the auction will also run online at Liveauctioneers.com and Invaluable.com. 14. Check the Wichita CL.. There's an '82 Riviera convertible with 92K for $5500. Looks like a pretty nice car. Ed http://wichita.craigslist.org/cto/5136191955.html I'm still frustrated that I can no longer copy and paste a link and have it parsed so all you need to do is click on it. Is anyone else having this problem? Or is it my recent conversion to Windows 10 - which by the way is giving me problems in other programs. UPDATE: I'm now using mozilla firefox as my browser and it looks like I can now just copy and past links.
  15. Available for sale is this exquisite 1955 Pontiac Safari Wagon. This was a very solid ex-California car that was first restored on the west coast, then taken to an even higher level by its current owner in Pennsylvania. It wears all original sheet metal with the only exception being a small segment of the spare tire well. The complex tailgate assembly has been fully restored and updated to gas struts to remove the troublesome torsion bars. The desirable four-bbl equipped 287 Power Pack engine and engine bay have been fully detailed to show quality. While the engine was out for detailing, the pan was dropped to inspect the bearings (found to be excellent) and new pushrods and rocker arms installed. The top and bottom ends were then completely resealed (along with the transmission) prior to installation. It does not leak a drop! During that time, all painted panels from the interior were removed and restored to match the paint quality of the exterior. Chrome trim on the dash and door cards was also restored. It wears a set of desirable bolt-on wire wheel covers and proper bias ply tires and has been very nicely accessorized with many correct period accessories. Runs strong, everything works as it should. Has been shown in numerous concours events and has been featured in the Pontiac club publications. A vast array of period literature, advertisements and brochures will be included, along with restoration receipts and service records. Over $100K has been spent on the car just in the restoration/detailing by the current owner. It's a spectacular example - surely one of the best out there. Priced at $67,500 this is a steal compared to a more common Nomad of similar quality. Please contact Geoff Isabelle at 610-398-9700 or at geoff@rbcarcollection.com. RB Collection is a small, family owned restoration facility in Breinigsville, PA (AACA members).

  19. Thanks to all who expressed an interest - She is going to a good home, I think! New Photos Added and Price Lowered (down from $6800). I think this is a great buy at this price and I am hopeful that someone on this forum will purcahse the car. If not, it will go on to Ebay or be put up for auction elseware. I offered up this car for sale a year ago without success. Now I am more serious and have posted it to Craigslist and may consider trying Ebay. But, I wanted to make sure that the true Reatta affectionados on this forum also have a "chance to take a look". This is an incredibly nice, reliable, well maintained, and updated “Driver Quality” vehicle. She has fewer than 87K miles and all mechanicals and systems work flawlessly except: 1) the cassette player, 2) left/right adjustment of driver side mirror (up and down works fine). The paint is shiny and bright and the body is without major dings, dents, or scrapes. However there are some minor parking lot dings on the front of the hood that have been repaired with touchup paint. (Mostly not noticible unless you are OCD like me, or are looking real hard). It also has a "Sequential Tail Light" system installed, reminicent of the mid-sixty Thunderbirds. It is unique and work great. I purchased this car less than three years ago The previous ownerdid major updating including: new muffler and tail-pipe, R134 upgrade, brake accumulator, struts at all four corners, Fluid services, transmission service, tune up, headlight arms, wheel speed sensors, and maybe other services that I cannot recall. After purchase, I drove over 1300 miles home without a hiccup. This beauty has performed flawlessly ever since. The only thing I’ve done to it is semiannual oil and filter changes and other regular maintenance and cleaning. A new “EZ-On” top was installed by “Convertibles Only” in Seattle. They did a superior job. Other forum members here can attest to their excellent work. I changed from the white original color top to tan; which I think looks nicer. But those who are a stickler for originality, may disapprove. If you are interested please private message me. I’m located north of Seattle near the Canadian Border (U.S.A. Side) . I hope you enjoy the pictures and will consider if this is the car you need for your future top-down touring and cruising. Don
  20. Up for sale is a good barn find; my 1929 Studebaker Commander coupe that I purchased from my grandfather. I would have loved to restore this car but I'm currently trying to to expand my repair shop so it must go . Car is 85% all there! Will make a great restoration project! Areas of wood that need repairing -Roof -Passenger side running board -Rear area of trunk Rest of wood is in SOLID shape -Trunk lid area -"Beams" between the splash aprons and body are solid -"Cross member" wood under body is in great shape as well -Floor is solid -Wheels are great! MAJORITY OF WOOD IS SOLID see it to believe it! Comes with extra headgasket and other misc parts/tools. Interior is all there ready to be restored HORN still works too Drivers window rolls up and down great, passenger side and rear window will roll down partially, dont want to force it without inspecting the cause of it. All steel is SOLID and in great shape, no rust rotting through just surface rust. Other minor things that need attention include, tires, front emblem, levers on steering wheel, light bulbs and one marker lamp lens. I am asking around $9,500 OBO make an offer needs to go!
