  5. I'm willing to try to start an ongoing thread that would alert any prospective buyers to what I would call deals on earlier Rivieras that a person might not otherwise find. I'd also think that it could be used to ask others who are looking to see what's in areas to which they don't have access unless they're willing to look at every city that has a Craigslist. Don't post anything other than a title and a link. You're not responsible for anything other than letting others know what's out there. It's up to them to make contact and get details.   8. One of the 5 recently imported JDM 1991 Nissan Figaro's is almost finished it's restoration and is being advertised for sale. I bought out a Japanese car dealer and these 5 cars were in the inventory. Each one is being restored to original. All the bodies were rust and damage free to start and each has had a complete strip down to bare metal and repainted with base coat / clear coat in the original colors. Every car has new tires, new brakes, complete mechanical service including timing belts, batteries, tune ups, and anything needing attention was replaced. New convertible tops and headliners were installed along with a complete interior restoration . Hubcaps have been restored, all chrome has been polished and is in great shape. Everything works like the day it was made. Each car has a 1 liter turbocharged engine, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, and every aspect of the car has been gone through and is working and looks like new. This green car has 122 K kilometers showing and comes complete with the Japanese title / Japanese export certificate, all fully paid US import and US Customs taxes, fully paid DOT inspection, fully paid EPA inspection, all charges paid relating to legal import and the car is ready to be titled in any State except CA which is an entire planet unto itself. Car trunk is also rust free and it comes with it's original spare tire, tool kit and jack. Everything works like the day it was made. Car runs and drives great with ice cold a/c. No weird noises, drips or leaks. Just a fun little conversation starter car. Be the only one at your car show. 50's charm with newer car functionality. Like all of them it has a/c, automatic transmission, ps, pb, pw, p/antenna, cd player, manual top, automatic boot release.   12. This is a pair of rear lower quarter panel pot metal quarter panel extensions that I believe were removed from a convertible. I cannot remember and the tag has decayed over the years. I parted the car out 30 years ago. Can anyone help me identify to be sure?? Help appreciated. They measure at the top edge end to end about 23 inches. No cracks or breaks. No deep pitting. Lots of dry desert grime. Decent daily drivers/excellent cores for a re-plate. These were from a dry desert car. Thank you. Please write as needed. Thank you.

  14. Nice set of four large threaded hubcaps with Marmon logo emblems to fit optional Dayton wire wheels. Two right side and two left side matched set, heavy cast and machined brass or bronze with nickel plating. They measure 5" outside diameter by 2 1/4" high with 2 11/16" diameter coarse male threads. Experts here have identified these being used on 1928 and 1929 Model 78 or 8-115 and others have said they may have been used on early Roosevelt cars prior to the "R" emblems being used. They are in good to very good used condition with no major damage, good threads, all emblems in very nice shape, and much of the original plating intact. They do all have nicks, scratches, scrapes, wrench marks and plating wear typical of use and one cap has a shallow dent in the beveled back edge visible in the photos. These could be used as is on a driver or would be a nice starting point for restoration. $449.00 including insured U.S. shipping

  16. The Buick Riviera offered here was certainly a pride of ownership. Previous owner and restorer owned it for 45 years and sold it two years ago to current owner. Prior history to 1974 is unknown. This car received a body-off frame restoration many years ago and has been enjoyed and cared for since. Its beautiful Riviera Plum paint and interior color is just delicious. Endless amount of time and energy has gone into this car and it shows. It has 83,101 miles on the car and engine, no records anywhere would indicate a rebuilt engine. It starts, runs, drives, steers, charges, stops and cools very well so no concerns there. There are a few items we can report after testing the car: Power antenna goes up easily, slips going down. Original Radio does not work The heating system does not blow warm air, we suspect the hot water valve is not opening, the vacuum line going to it does not have vacuum. The A/C compressor kicks on properly when called for, but I am unable to tell if its truly blowing cold. The transmission is seeping fluid. All lights and hideaway headlights working properly. Windshield wipers work, washers do not. Tires are older, new owner should plan on purchasing new tires Currently RI safety inspected until July 2019 Transmission indicator not working There is a molding on the dashboard missing. Heater and A/C dashboard controls seem to be operating correctly. All gauges appear to be working. Sometimes the drivers interior door handle to exit the car doesn’t work. Will need an adjustment. When this happens I use the rear passenger exit handle. Power windows: Drivers quarter does not work. Drivers work good. Passenger works from drivers control down, not up. Passenger control controls both up and down. Passenger quarter works from drivers door. With all the windows, you can see all the motors “faintly clicking”, so it would appear all controls are working properly. I see a complete car with that solid as rocks vinyl interior in usable condition, a straight body with some rust in the usual spaces, fully equipped with a/c, front cornering lights, even power bucket seat . Of course there is no price, so if the guy is wanting $4500 for it, that's a deal breaker, but he isn't likely going to get that out of the parts, locally. Not to mention, it's one of the nicest color combinations for that year - race car red. Power trunk release too?
  18. 1939 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door sedan. All original and complete with numbers matching straight eight engine. This car has been in storage for many years and was last licensed in 1961. It ran and drove when it was stored over 35 years ago but I have not tried to start it. This car is very solid and the only rust through is on the front left fender and part of the trunk. The frame is very solid. This car needs a complete restoration but it's very complete including trim rings, hub caps, all scripts and emblems, tail lights, beveled dash glass, wiper arms, door handles and window cranks etc, etc. Some of the glass is fine and some requires replacing but it's all flat glass so it's easy and inexpensive to obtain. I have a 1939 Imperial that I have restored so I have contacts for just about everything it will need. I have the original build information from the Chrysler Historic Society and ownership in hand.

  20. Was out touring some of the back fields at our farm and came across this old Buick. Unfortunately it's a wreck, but there still maybe many usable parts to someone in need. I believe looking at the grill it's a 1933 Buick, but no idea model or any other details, perhaps someone could fill them in? Looks like whomever had this stripped the body off and used the frame/tires for a trailer as there is a large bar welded to the frame looks like for pulling. From what I've been told, the engine and transmission are also somewhere in the same yard, but likely buried under snow right now. If you need something, I can go out and look to see if it's still there. Be a shame this old girl just completely rusts to nothing... email is likely best tom_gan@shaw.ca

I have documentation and names of people that knew the car. This car wasn't sold when it was new but finally got into a private owner's hands about 13 years ago. I've had it now for 3 + years. NO rust or wood rot. Original Factory interior, original top, Original Body paint. Big Master Six engine was professionally rebuilt at a cost of $5K. Much much more .. Title is in my name.   23. 1931 Model A Ford A400 Convertible Sedan, Victoria Styling. Extremely rare and desirable with very few made and only in the final year of Model A production.   24. *SOLD* This is a fun little hauler that you just don't see every day. No, it's not some home-built custom job, but rather an Australian-built 1950 Chevrolet Coupe Utility, and yes, that's how it came from the factory. Apparently Australian farmers like to be able to work during the week and drive their pickups to church on Sunday, so these early El Caminos became a staple on Australian roads. Most automakers built some version of this car/truck, although not in vast numbers; only about 2300 1950 Chevrolet Utes were built. This one has registration papers from Victoria Provence as recently as 2006, so it came to the US sometime after that, landing in California and then coming east about four years ago. Obviously, all that desert was kind to the sheetmetal, and it was repainted in California sometime around 2010. The color isn't exciting, but this was apparently the only choice available for the Ute, so there it is. The tonneau was factory-installed, not an add-on, and the wood floor in the bed is likewise correct although likely nicer than new. The interior is a mirror image of American Chevys, with a brown vinyl seat cover, standard gauges over on the right, and simple door panels. Yes, it takes a little familiarization to handle shifting with your left hand on the right side of the car, but to be honest, the hardest thing to get used to is looking to the left to find the rear-view mirror--I never broke that particular habit. Mechanically it is identical to US 1950 Chevrolets, including the Stovebolt Six under the hood. It's rebuilt, runs great, and reasonably well detailed. No modifications save for conversion to 12 volts, but they used a generator so it's all but invisible. Sadly, the radio doesn't work, likely because of that conversion. The transmission is the same and uses a clever linkage to shift gears and actuate the clutch, and steering, suspension, and brakes feel exactly the same as the '52 Chevy Bel Air I had sitting next to it. Blackwall radials on steelies look right for the hard-working little Ute. I promise you'll have the only one at any show, and it really is fun to drive and show, especially when people see you sitting on the "wrong" side of the car. Comes with clean Ohio title, no issues with registration in any state. Asking a very reasonable $24,900 and it's ready to enjoy. Thanks for looking!
  25. Pair of 1956 quarter panel ends for Special and Century. I think they are the same for 1955, at least in the size and shape of the opening for the bezel. Free, before I toss them or take them to the scrap metal place. I saved the tail light housings.
