  3. In looking for another part for a fellow hobbyist, I came upon several NOS Carter Carburetor Gas Filters to sell. They are totally complete, with the glass bowl and stone filter element. Again, they have never been installed, and are in excellent condition. This is the low-profile version of this popular Carter fuel filter, used in the 1950's and 1960's. It was usually installed in the gas line, just before the carburetor gas inlet. The low-profile helps the filter clear the intake manifold and the air cleaner. Lots of these used on Studebakers, MOPAR and GM back in the day. They have a nifty period look. The price per complete, NOS Carter Gas Filter is $45, plus the shipping. Again, I have a few of these to sell (all NOS). Thanks for looking. John
  4. This 1911 Paige-Detroit is nearly all original. Absolutely incredible preservation vehicle. It features original dark blue with light gray paint on the body, original black paint on the fenders, original leather upholstery. It was delivered new without a windshield or top. We installed new tires, and reconditioned it to driving status. It is otherwise untouched. It was sold new in Lincoln, Nebraska, and remained there until we purchased it 8 years ago. It's been preserved by it's owners, and a history is nearly completely known. Being a surrey, the back seat is removeable to make it an even sportier runabout. This is reportedly the only complete 1911. Four cylinder, three speed transmission, 25" rims. It has never been shown at a concours or other major event-we'll leave that honor to the next owner. Asking $49,500.

  22. I'm willing to try to start an ongoing thread that would alert any prospective buyers to what I would call deals on earlier Rivieras that a person might not otherwise find. I'd also think that it could be used to ask others who are looking to see what's in areas to which they don't have access unless they're willing to look at every city that has a Craigslist. Don't post anything other than a title and a link. You're not responsible for anything other than letting others know what's out there. It's up to them to make contact and get details. I'll start with this one: a 1966 Gran Sport in Cole Camp, Missouri (Central close to the Lake of the Ozarks.)
