  1. From my father's estate the windshield reads: NOS Windshield 51-53 Buick Riviera+Convertible 51-53 Oldsmobile Hard-Top+Convertible #220 "Tinted" My father was a stickler for details, so I assume the information to be correct. ycnchange-shopping@yahoo.com Location: Clarksville, MD Price lowered to $300 or best offer 4/22/12
  2. My wifes grandfather is fianally going to sell his 1953 Chev 1300 series Half Ton Truck. His father was the original owner and was barely used. It has 53000 original miles. The truck has been stored indoors for the past 15 years but has sat outside before that. Yes there is lots of surface rust and some patches of rust spots through. Still has all of its original parts. The fender and grill are in the truck bed. The rad has been stored in the farm house. IT was always his intent to restore it but now due to his age and health he cannot. He hopes someone will buy it and have it restored. Selling for $1000 CDN. Located in Petworth Ontario Canada. Just 30 north/west of Alexandrea Bay. You can email me or call him directly at. I have pictures if you are interested. Les @ 613-377-6455 Thank you

  7. I thought I had posted this before but couldn't find it. Any ideas on how to remove the glass on a 1953 Clock? It's binded by the time setter shaft/mechanism. Or do I just need to take the whole clock apart?
  8. What is the best way to get my faded odometer numbers restored? Should I take it apart and repaint them myself or is this something best left to a speedometer restoration shop? The MPH numbers are fine, but the odometer numbers are faded almost beyond recognition. Any tips? I'm mighty handy with brush and paint.
  9. howdy all, i'm parting out some redundant parts from my '53 resto. I'm slowly going through the stuff I need, would like to keep as an extra part, and the things I don't need. So far, I've got: -Sonomatic radio. 12 volt. I'm not sure if it works. -Dash (no gauges, just the frame) Light surface rust, no rust-through. -Gas tank. I'm honestly not sure this can be salvaged but thought I would see before I sent it to the metal scrapyard. It had a dime size hole punched in it by a fellow at a radiator shop to "drain" it. then they attempted to patch the hole. I used Eastwood's gas tank restorer and Tank Tone but it was done poorly and rust is seeping through and I hear flakes inside. (see photos) here are some photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/1953buick/1953BuickSuperParts?feat=directlink Make me an offer on any of this stuff, I just need the extra space and could use a little extra money. I'll be posting more as I move forward with the restoration... Thanks!

  12. Hi all, I have for sale a 1953 Buick Special 4 door, V8, 2 speed transmission. Basically the Buick is barn find. It is completely in pieces, but apears to be 95-99% complete. Was disassembled 15 years ago by the previous owner to restore. All parts have been stored in garage/basement. The cab, frame, engine/trans are now together only to get the car home. Fenders, hood, truck lid, doors, etc are not attached to the car. Frame is rusty, but good, straight condition. Engine has not been started in years, but turns over with wrench. Cab has large hole driver's side floor, rocker panels bad, windows great shape, dash great shape. All fenders, bumpers, hood, truck lid, doors great shape. Many trim parts and other accessories great shape. The car is located 1 hour south of Cleveland. I would like to sell as complete car to start, but will be willing to part. Pick up and cash only please. Again, this car is dissassembled, could get pictures on specific parts if needed. Call or email anytime, Thanks, Jeff jcourt667@yahoo.com 330-421-7878
