  1. Hi, new to this forum. I'm getting ready to tear down / partially disassemble my hydramatic and am in search of any other thoughts on my issue before I do. This started last fall and I have yet to resolve it. I posted this in the classic olds forum last fall and received some much appreciated feedback. Just looking for any other hydramatic tips or suggestions before I disassemble this thing. 1951 Olds hydramatic: driven out of drive way down the street and back first time in years. ( 10+ ?) Shifted late and hard. (nothing new) Pulled back into drive to drop the pan drain torus and clean scree
  2. Various fleetline parts for sale. 1951 fleetline and styleline deluxe trim, almost all of it. Have trim for front fenders, doors, windows,. Also have all windows, windshield, back window for sale. Also have headlights, bezels, and tail lights for sale. These are available from two door, and four door models. One parts car I know for a fact is a '51, but I would have to check what the other two are. Simply reply on here what parts you need and I'll let you know if I still have them. Thanks

  4. According to The Standard Catalog of American Cars, all 1951 Chevrolet Styline Deluxe's came with two-tone gray with striped broadcloth upolstery. Is this also true for the convertible? It seems like most of the '51 convertibles I've found in magazines and online have multi-colored leather upolstery with matching painted dashboards that look pretty convincing.
