  1. Does anyone know where I can purchase a brake pressure accumulator, AC Delco part number 25528382? I've tried every possible resource I could find, including the Reatta Store, but no one has them available. Thanks for your help.
  2. I removed the ECC and cleaned it according to the link provided by Mc_Reatta, and it seems to be working fine at the present time. If the fix doesn't last I'll replace the unit. Can anyone shed some light on what I should expect to pay for a replacement? Thanks for all the help.
  3. On my '90 coupe the rear window defogger does not work and the light on the ECC panel does not come on. I ran a diagnostic test, and it didn't show any codes being set. According to the service manual, when no codes are set you should be able to exit the diagnostics by pressing the rear defogger button on the ECC and if not, it indicates a bad ECC panel. Needless to say, I could not exit the diagnosis by this method. I would like to know if the ECC can be removed and repaired or does it have to be replaced. I would appreciate any help or advice.
  4. Great information. Thanks for the response. I plan on working on it this weekend when my son, who's much more adept at things electronically than I, will be here to lend a hand. Again, thanks.
  5. The cruise control on my '90 will not operate, the light in the instrument panel does not come on. I'm getting a b671 code which is a cruise position sensor. Can anyone tell me where this sensor is located, and is it easy/hard to check or change?
  6. Thanks for the advice concerning the mice problem. I made some pouches using tulle material and Irish Spring soap and placed them inside and outside the car at strategic locations. Hopefully that'll take care of the problem.
  7. I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with mice getting into the heater/blower compartment. Yesterday when I uncovered the car and opened the door I detected a slight rotten smell. Later when I turned the blower on I was hit with the unmistaken smell of dead animal. Fortunately, the blower unit is fairly easy to remove, after which I vacuumed out several dead mice bodies. My question is, how are they getting into the heater area? I can't see any opening where they might enter. I would appreciate any help with this problem.
  8. EDBCO, I did flush the brake system earlier this summer when I put new calipers, rotors ;etc. on the car. I also put a new accumulator on about four years ago. Jim, thanks for the info. I'll be contacting you about the pressure switch and pump.
  9. No Ronnie, what I'm trying to do is head off a future occurance. I've learned in my advanced age that unresolved problems seldom go away. Please try to be more constructive.
  10. I need further help with the ABS problem. Originally, the problem presented itself as a "no boost" situation. Both yellow and red lights came on, but both went out after a few miles of very scary driving. Now they come on normally at start up but go out after a few second and haven't been a problem since. Diagnosis shows a B482H code, brake pressure problem. The FSM, page 8D2-65 indicates that if it is intermitten, which it is, it could be a short to ground in CKT 933. My question is, what is this and how do you check it? I also pulled the connector to the pressure switch and there was no indication of a fluid leak. By the way, after reading a lot of previous posts on the yellow/red brake lights, I thought it probably was the pump electrical relay. (I know, I should have done the diagnosis first.) I picked up an exact match at the local NAPA parts storech for $7.50. It's made by Echlin and the part number is AR174.
  11. Does anyone know a source for the ABS relays that fit the holder properly or doesn't have to be modified. A search on the subject turned up a lot of information on them, but there seems to be a lot changing of part numbers, discontinued brands;etc.
