  2. 1957 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Mechanical Engine turns over but I have not had a chance to get it running. I removed the spark plugs and they look clean but I replaced them. Clean oil in the engine and clean transmission fluid in the transmission Rear end isn’t leaking Nothing is missing Body and interior Black paint has seen better days but can be shined up and used if you’d like to keep it original. Interior is all there but needs to be redone Everything seems to be there with extra parts in the trunk There is some rust and body damage I’ve noticed on the driver side doors, hood, and surface rust scattered around the car but nothing more then would be expected on a car this old that has never been restored. I believe all the chrome and trim is there and most of it is in very good shape given it’s age. I’ve restored two 1958 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Specials and have personal experience with this type of car. The 1957 is similar to the 1958; many prefer the ‘57 as it is more restrained in styling. Missing pieces and extensive body issues can be expensive. Fortunately this car is good in both areas. If you can do body and mechanical work this car would be a relatively easy restoration. If you just want to do a mechanical restoration and drive it as is this would be easily doable. If your wanting to do a full restoration for a 100 point restoration this car would also lend it self to well to that. Which ever you restoration you pick it will be beautiful and eye catching. The cars of the 1950’s make great investments and not many can claim to be as sought after as a late 1950’s Cadillac; whose prices are always on the rise. I can help with storage and arranging shipping but the cost of these will be the responsibility of the buyer. 1957 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Shipping Weight: 4755 lbs Vehicle Length: 224.4 in Wheelbase - Inches: 133.0 in 8-cyl. 365cid/300hp 4bbl 24,0000 units sold in 1957
  3. Power steering set up questions 1962 Pontiac power steering set up questions A friend of mine has a 1962 Pontiac Tempest Lemans with the V-8 in it and would like to put power steering on it. To do this set up I assume we need the following: The gearbox High-pressure line and return line A pump A bracket to hold the pump Here are my questions: On the pumps I keep seeing these pumps do not have any reservoir how do these operate? Where does the pump bolt on and what drives it? – I keep seeing what looks like a pulley shaft but no pulley on the end of them. Is the list of parts I compiled all that would be needed or is there anything special that I am forgetting? I’m a Cadillac/ Lincoln guy not PONTIAC so all your help will be greatly appreciated since these systems seem to be somewhat different than what I’m used to dealing with. Thanks

  5. Car is now on ebay: Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Lincoln-Continental-/253083968560?hash=item3aecfae430:g:nUoAAOSwC9VZiQhu&vxp=mtr Item number: 253083968560
  6. Year: 1967 Make: Lincoln Model: Continental Convertible VIN: 7Y86G838101 Engine: 462 V8 Transmission: C6 Automatic Trans. DATA TAG INFO: 74-A: Convertible C-Dark Grey Metallic 2A- Black Trim 06D- April 15-NY F-Axle 2.8:1 U-Automatic transmission C6 Up for sale is my 1967 Lincoln, I am the third owner and have owned it since 2014 (original owner's paperwork is still in the glove box). This convertible is the rarest of all the 1961-1967 Lincoln Convertibles built with only 2,276 examples built. 1967 Is recognized by many Lincoln collectors and experts as the best year to own. It features many of the creature comforts found in new cars, with the best build quality and space of any of the cars. It also contains the amazing 462 V-8 making 340 horsepower and the dependable C6 transmission. This car has the following power features: -Electricals: Top, Windows, Seats, Locks, Steering, and brakes The top and window systems have been restored professionally. The top is new and works flawlessly with the known problem areas being rebuilt by one of the leading convertible Lincoln experts in the country. All power window switches have been rebuilt and all moving components inside the doors have been cleaned and re-greased for seamless usage. The driver side front window does require assistance, something seems wrong with the drive gear, but any mechanic can fix this issue, or just use it as is. -Mechanicals: The 462 has been gone thru by a professional mechanic and has all new hoses, plugs, rebuilt carb., new gaskets, repairing and replacing as needed wiring. This car just came back from a through tune up, and had the passenger side exhaust manifold correctly repaired to avoid the known issue that arises in that area on all of these cars. Exhaust system is nice and throaty, sounds like a classic V8 should sound. I don’t drive this car like I should (which is the reason I’m selling it), but do enjoy it. For a massive car is has lots of get-up-an-go! Power disk brakes with new dual master cylinder -Body: Freshly repainted In 2016 in its original “Dark Metallic Grey”. This color catches light in different ways and appears dark grey, dark blue, and in some light black. This car is as solid as they come. The underside has no undercoating and is still in the factory primer. I thoroughly have looked over this car and only found a very small area of rust in the front left side of the passenger-side floor board. Any body shop could easily repair this or do as I do and drive the car as is. I have found zero rust any where else. -Interior: The interior looks spectacular, with the front seat and carpet being redone. Door panels are original and look great. The dash has the usual crack beside the front speaker grille. The back seat is original the top could stand to be redone (or I can have it repaired for you) the bottom seat looks very nice. -Bumpers and chrome: The bumpers, chrome and stainless all look very nice and presentable but I would suggest some pieces being restored if you wanted to have a show car. I pulled all the carpet out of the trunk and found solid steel. The car now has a new trunk kit. I collect Lincolns and while I prefer the more flamboyant cars of the late 1950’s I think this is one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen. I have taken it to a few local shows and it always draws a tremendous crowd. I rarely get to drive the car so its time to sell it. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns you have. All buyers understand and agree that this is a 50-year-old car and though it has been restored, it is still a used car that is five decades old. There is no warranty expressed or implied. This car is being sold as is where is and buyer is responsible for transporting the car to its new home. The car will not leave my possession until it is paid in full. These “Suicide Door Lincolns” continue to climb in value every year with basic rough but running examples bringing $15,000-18,000. This car is ready to go, just turn the key and enjoy. $36,350 Or best offer. ghhatley@hotmail.com International buyers are welcome Car is for sale locally Thanks for looking! 7. 1965 Lincoln Continental Nice 1965 Lincoln for restoration or enjoy as is, found in a local barn that has been its residence since 1982. Everything is original and the car could either be enjoyed as is or would be a great candidate for restoration. I did get it to crank and run but not long term just to make sure the engine was not stuck and would crank. With the exception of the trunk lid and some small surface rust on the hood this car is virtually rust free since it has been stored inside. Interior has a great patina as it is but if you want to restore it there is good solid bones to start with. This is a two owner car that has all its history and I can trace it back to when it left the dealership in Charlotte NC. The trunk lid, the only really rust part of the car is very rusty along the top like most of them. I do have access to a solid trunk lid that I will offer to sale to the winning bidder. I also have a windshield that I will offer to the buyer as this one is cracked across the middle. Windows, signals, and lights all work. Car has all of its pieces even the air cleaner which is missing in the engine picture These nice solid restoration projects are getting hard to find. Car can be stored while getting transportation lined up. I have the clear title in my hand so it can seamlessly be turned over to the new buyer. Please ask all questions before bidding Additional pictures are available on request.
