  3. hello all i want is 250 bucks it comes with a gasket set and rings and berrings to freshen it up the guy told me it only has 40 thousand miles on it but its been sitting on my engine stand for awhile!i got rid of the car because the frame was too far gone so i stripped some parts off her and sent her to the great dodge heavin in the sky!! i still have some chrome, glovebox door, carb oiler, heater controls and some other misc parts though! hank 631-395-0340
  4. my advice is dont try to pry the head off i learned the hard way when i broke the top of my 29 engine block trying to pry the head off!! henry

  9. eureca she started!! the distributor was 180 degrees out!!i thought the dist was on because the timing mark was comming up but i guess it was on the down stroke!!i couldnt put my thumb over #1 and crank her at the same time so i got a friend to help!!thanks for all your help its hard to do not having a manual for specs and such!! gratefully henry
  10. hey mick that would be great if you could post a pic this things drivin me crazy!!at one point she backfired pretty loud!!mabe i have to move the distribitor!!compression and spark is there but mabe i have the disributor wrong!!any how thanks a million !! henry
  11. at the risk of solder and john wayne draggin his dick im getting plenty of spark and i did a valve job wich im gettin 50 lbs of pressure across the board!i guess the next thing is to try and match up my timing marks but so far nuttin!!
  12. at the risk of being a pain in the neck is your # 1 wire on the cap in line with the oiling port?? thanx henry
  13. i must have a 1919 cap because thats the firing order clockwise on the cap!!thats probly my problem ill try the firing order you gave me!! does anyone know where i can get a manual?? sure glad its not a soldering problem!!!! thanx hank
  14. ijust recently did a valve job on my motor and i get 50lbs even across the board!i get spark at the plugs but im not sure the firing order is rite and i cant find a manual anywhere!!the cap has 1243 but im not sure its rite!! any clues if thefiring order is rite?? thanx in advance!! henry
  15. does any one know if its possible to seat new valves on a 28 fast four engine without grinding them on a machine?i was told thats the way they used to do it with a valve lapping suction tool and valve grinding compound .i guess the same process as lapping them in ?? the valves are new!! thanx henry
