  1. Were any for sell? Prolly not.
  2. Don't know if anyone mentioned it, but the absolute worst (like squeaky chalk on a blackboard) is when someone says or types V.I.N. number. It drives me insane like I wanna punch the moron. Even some of the so called experts here call it that. For the record: A V.I.N. is a Vehicle Identification Number. So what the hell is a Vehicle Identification Number number?
  3. Manuel transmission is one made in Mexico. Duel exhaust is two cars side by side or a_send to a_send revving the engines to see who has better sounding pipes. Convertables are well known in the bond market.
  4. Is this discussion in relation to having a car for "sell?" It prolly is. (I've heard of lolly, folly & even by golly, but I have no clue what a prolly is.
  5. Why would you be storing this car outside? Or is the cover just for when it's outside for the day & then you put it back in the garage?

  7. It's hard to get the perfumey smell out of the car when you use them, and contrary to popular belief, THEY DON'T WORK to keep mice out. I bought a car that was stored over 1 winter & I found a giant mouse nest under the back seat made of dryer sheets.
  8. I heartily disagree. Take a look at what's going on around the country with the Corona.

Underneath was no less innovative, with a Lycoming V-8 running the front wheels through a four-speed, electrically shifted pre-selector transmission, which was operated by a “key” off the steering column; essentially, it was an H-pattern gearshift in miniature. Today the Cord has since gone down in history as one of the most beautiful automobiles of its time, being regularly displayed in art museums as what Buehrig referred to as “rolling sculpture.” Its restoration is well maintained and very attractive, with the finishes under the hood appearing largely authentic, and the top, hard to get “right” on these cars, properly stitched and fitted. Accessory Cord driving lights and a Cord Delco radio are fitted. This is a lovely, well-kept example of a truly iconic design. 10. I'll keep posting & pay attention to including the description, contact info if available & photos. It would be nice to know that you helped someone find a car by posting it here.
  11. Along the lines of Hudsy's thinking, I'll ask the same question with Facebook. I recently posted 2 that I thought would spur interest and/or maybe some discussion. One was this 1930 Chrysler Imperial Dual Sidemount/Rumble Seat Convertible Coupe $69,500 and the other was a 1936 Cord 810. I seem to recall that cars like these spurred quite a bit of interest here. Maybe my comments in my posting about FB whiners turned people off on commenting. Anyway, I'll post as I find what I think has interest here.
  12. I was going to mention this. It may be the easiest way to get a title. And it's totally legitimate.
  13. Not mine. Saw it on FB. https://collectorcars.fotki.com/1930-chrysler-imper/102-3699.html Formally in Harrah's Collector Car Museum. Extremely rare with only 142 produced!!! This original Oregon car is totally rust free and all the body panels line up perfectly. It has the optional passenger side rumble seat door. It is in the process of being restored as it had quite a few paint spots that were coming off and the paint was fading because of its age. The interior wasn't in very good shape but was somewhat presentable. It now has new original color paint. The engine and trans have been completely rebuilt and most of the chrome has been re-plated to show quality573-541-1970collectorcarsandparts@yahoo.comWorldwide delivery is available
  14. Not mine. Saw the ad & thought someone here may be interested. For all you whiners about Facebook, if you don't like it, go start your own topic about how bad it is. This thread is about a Cord for sale, NOT the evil FB. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2673406962764760/ Seller's Description CMC is pleased to this stunning 1936 Cord 810 Phaeton Convertible. Approximately 600 were built and very few remain today. Please give this one careful consideration as this is an amazing example. 'THE SINGLE MOST BEAUTIFUL AMERICAN CAR' The Cord was produced by the Cord Automobile division of the Auburn Automobile Company in 1936 and 1937. It was the first American-designed and built front wheel drive car with independent front suspension. Both year models were the first to offer hidden headlights, steering wheel horn rim [a safety feature], covered locking gas filler and many more unique features. The design of the Cord 810/812 remains one of the most distinctive of the 20th Century. In 1996, American Heritage Magazine proclaimed the Cord 810 sedan 'The Single Most Beautiful American Car'. Designed by the celebrated designer Gordon Buehrig, it was one of eight cars chosen for the Museum of Modern Art's [MOMA] 'Eight Automobiles' exhibition in 1951. Despite springing from the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg company's desire to create a lower-cost Baby Duesenberg, the striking 1937 Cord 812 was more than a bridge model-it was a landmark of American automotive design. Contemporary reviewers raved over the 810/812, saying For sheer taste, for functional correctness, and for beauty, the Cord is the best design the American industry has ever produced.
