  1. Hey guys, since ive gotten my D11 up and running again ive noticed that the linkage from steering wheel to transmission that allows the shifter to be pushed fwd for R, 2nd and 3rd gear is very sticky or gummed up etc. because theres a lot of the time when i go from 1st to 2nd it wont allow me to engage 2nd gear until i wait for the little rod to SLOWLY extend or retract back to where i can engage those gears, makes it very hard/annoying to drive car, does it ESPECIALLY bad when car has been sitting OR when its cool/cold out. I can put car into 1st gear and go back to neutral and just freely m
  2. guess ill need to try and make an appearance next year, however the car wont be totally in show condition as many of yours guys' vehicles are.
  3. chances are 100%.....original wheels and hubcaps were sold with car to my dad. we have them at my parents house in the basement - along with the original radio.
  4. oh wow.....where could i find that build sheet place at......is it online?
  5. Not sure. Steering wheel is not factory. Here's an interior pic. Headliner is a brownish color.
  6. hey guys, im in need of a new gas pedal for my car as all the rubber has come off the back side and the pedal linkage rod is now free moving all over the back side of the pedal and really has no way to stay in place. Can anyone tell me if this is in fact a 1939 dodge gas pedal, and if itll work for my car. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1939-41-Plymouth-1941-Dodge-Brown-Accelerator-Pedal-798188/400757651867?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3Dd7fb1c2dc80a47069e3ba48f6992670b%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D20131017132637%26r
  7. well guys, car made it 14 to 16 miles again tonight with car club to a dinner cruise, it never had a hiccup, not a single problem, just cruised right along with the best of em!!! Furthest its gone this year problem free!
  8. well drove the car furthest its been under its own power in many years, total of 14 or 16 miles tonight - all of which were 110% TROUBLE FREE!!!! I truly feel like this car is really starting to take shape again and WANT to go down the road and cruise with the best of them. it drove 60 mph without a hiccup all the way to destination and back home.
  9. Correct. Car was originally sea base green. Since then it's been red and its current white. I'd like to re paint. Just can't settle on a color. I'm thinking metallic "pearl" white or a dark green/blue or maybe a gold/champagne metallic. Def want something that would "fit" the car. Not a bright red/orange/green. It's not a street rod lol.
  10. well guys, after 4 years of not running and about a month and a half of replacing parts etc the 39 Dodge FINALLY crawled out of the garage and drove down the road (only about 8-9 miles total) to a local car show!!!! It was not a judged show, just a show and shine for a local town weekend event. Anyway, found out there that one of the other car owners actually recognized the car from the previous owner 20 years ago whose unfortunately deceased now. Was really cool to tank with her for a few min and learn some about the previous owner. Anyway, heres some pictures of the car at the show and p
  11. hmmmm, i may have put my wires on the coil incorrectly then....but the car starts and runs? im pretty sure the positive terminal of coil was and now is on the dist. with the neg going to some round thing under the dash with a hard wire that runs to ign. switch
  12. ok well i ordered a new coil as their only 15 bucks. I was also told i need to add an ignition coil resister to the car as to ensure the coil doesnt go bad on me again. Ive never heard of a coil resister, are those needed in these vehicles or not? i bought one but dont want to cut up wire and install it if its not needed. i believe what i got was a BWD brand coil resistor model number RU4 http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/BWD0/RU4.oap?ck=Search_ru4_-1_4315&keyword=ru4 is this anything you guys are running or is it not needed.
  13. Don't think so. I smelled raw fuel and had 0 spark
  14. well.....went to take it to a show today, drove it approx 10 miles, stopped to get fuel, when i came out i revved up engine and began to let clutch pedal out, nearly as soon as i began to let pedal out car died and would not re-fire. other member of my car club stopped and figured it was probably ignition coil. They said when they are bad and they hot they quit working and no longer provide spark to the car. Other issue with this is the coil is snugged between cylinder head and some hardened wire which makes the coil that much hotter from sitting against the head. another thing is
