  1. I would have voted for entry #11........
  2. I, and I believe a few other Minuteman Chapter members, plan on attending if the weather is co-operative.
  3. Just bought two pair last night...one pair for the 91 Reatta and one pair for the 92 Riviera...thanks Daniel for coming up with these!
  4. I've owned five Buicks with the 3800 231ci V6....four Riviera's (two supercharged and two naturally aspirated) and one Reatta. All I can say is that you cannot kill this engine! Very low maintenance required and very reliable.
  5. Brought "Buick" Opel GT brochure and die cast model car and left with Nordeast Grain Belt Beer.....I'm wicked happy!
  6. Pic #17 shows my Massachusetts license plate "BUIK 91" (I did not misspell Buick!...MA only allows for a six letter/number combo on a vanity plate) ...don't know who the lady is standing next to my car?? Pic #18 is my white w/flame red Reatta with the American flag attached to the driver's window. I won a Gold award!
  7. The FRONT wheel ABS sensors for both the 91 Reatta and 91 Riviera were a one year only design...a bolt-on with long cable lead. Rockauto does not have them in their inventory any longer. They do list the REAR, which is a built-in to the rear hub, but only for the 91 Riviera not the 91 Reatta (although they are the same). You'll have to either find a good front pair at a pick-n'-pull yard or from someone who's willing to sell you a pair.
  8. Leaving MA Monday morning the 15th on Rte. 90/80 with an overnight stop somewhere around the Erie, PA, area. Plan to arrive in South Bend Tuesday late afternoon the 16th. Driving the 91 Reatta.
  9. I went with a 91 for two reasons: 1. No Teves brake system 2. A wicked load of 91 Reatta parts and 92 Riviera parts are interchangeable and I have a cellar full of them (its not a basement, its a cellar!).
  10. The Riviera's will be on display at the hotel parking lot open to the public free of charge on Thursday, June 27, from 9am 'til 2pm. The vendor swap is normally held inside the hotel at the same time. I believe its also open to the public.
  11. I'm attending and also manning the registration desk for a few hours each day.
  12. Paul, I have children almost your age!!!(43 & 40)
  13. Biggest enjoyment for me is seeing BCA, RDIV, BDE, ROA, and forum friends again after another year has gone by. But, I also enjoy prepping my car throughout the year for judging....like to see how my work stacks up to the 400 point mark. Marck, don't need them to drive to South Bend. So, just bring them with you (I'll install them when I return home).
  14. I've entered mine to be judged.
  15. I don't know where you can find a template, but I will tell you that they are called "Monroney" stickers...named after Oklahoma senator Mike Monroney who sponsored the Automobile Information Disclosure Act of 1958.
  16. If you're from Boston...a "wicked lot" of them Riviera's.
  17. I had the same problem as Jason had with a shipper when I hired a cheap one through a broker to ship the '92 Ruby Red Riviera from Ohio to MA. Never picked it up, fired them, took weeks to get my deposit back, hire another shipper, schedule delivery. After all that, I sold it a year later. Cheaper is almost never better. Randall...that makes seven Riviera's you now have?!
  18. Lately in MA, your car will not pass inspection (a yearly requirement here) without an affixed front license plate.
  19. I'd also like to see the unrestored 69 Riviera GS. Take it to the ROA meet too.
  20. Include me.....I'm in favor......
  21. Ronnie, Although I've only purchased a few items so far 'cause I just bought my Reatta a few months back, I always think your store is the place to go for Reatta (and when compatible, Riviera) parts. Thanks for reopening the Reatta Store.........
  22. Kevin, 92 front hubs on a 91...interesting.... First, what Padgett said. Second, I've never considered it. I would think there's got to be some manipulation at the electrical connection point, though. Just looking at the 91 vs. the 92... The 91 sensor is a bolt on at the hub with a long wire connection away from the hub. The 92 sensor is embedded in the hub with a short wire connection close to the hub. so, physically they are quite different.
  23. Kevin...To your credit, you've not missed a thing (LOL)! Although I've read many Teves threads on the forum, I am not personally familiar with previous years' ABS Teves Systems since I've never had a car that's had it. I do know the 91 FRONT ABS speed sensors were a one-year-only-not-embedded-in-the-hub design as depicted in the 1986-1993 Reatta & Riviera Parts and Illustration Catalog. There's also a picture available on Rockauto. The FRONT ABS speed sensors are embedded on my 92 Riviera.
  24. Front ABS wheel speed sensors are a separate part from the wheel hub for the 1991 Reatta/Riviera/Toronado/Eldorado. This was a one year only - 1991 - design. Rockauto's part number is ABS530069, GM factory part number is 3521274. When you try to order these sensors from Rockauto, a message comes back that the parts are currently unavailable but you can leave your email address so they can contact you when/if any come in. All the other GM parts companies inform that the front sensors are no longer available (I've been looking for quite awhile!). The rear sensors are built in and probably available but I've not inquired.
