Below is what I wrote in the Reatta Journal Forum:

"Because I didn't want to cut and ground one of the headlight wires as mentioned in previous threads, I bought the H4 9003 Canbus Decoder (noted above) and installed one of them to the drivers side LED headlight harness.  I didn't have to install the other one to the passenger side since the current harness for this side is actually a spur from the main headlight harness.  The decoders do come as a pair, so I now have an extra.  The LED headlights now go up and down as they are supposed to. Yea!!

I want to thank everyone for your help and guidance."

      THANKYOU, JACK.

His property, his chosen "hobby" with his money!!  What's not to LIKE?   More of us should be that way, me thinks.

      Ben

I feel the same but am subject to the regulations regarding my property by my town's management (mayor and town council).

  2. I had an '85 with the same problem, both windows.  After cleaning up the connections, I wrapped the switches with a few layers of electric tape along the sides and around where the wire harness connects to the pins.

    Dave,

So glad to hear that you’re coming to Lexington.  As well as recognizing it as Linda’s car.

See you at the registration desk this year? 😁

    Ed

No registration desk.... only vendor table.  I was hoping you'd be interested in some of my Riviera stuff (real cheap prices, too!).  But I'm sure Linda's Riviera will be sold by then.  Maybe Randall Craine might be interested if he attends.  More people need to own a 7th gen Riviera.  I'll tell you one thing, though; I certainly do not plan to bring any of my stuff back home.  It's either sold or given away.

  4. Ed, It's also the "Prestige Edition" of the Riviera.  Now who am I going to sell my 7th generation Riviera stuff to that I'm bringing to the ROA meet in KY!?

Good luck with your sale of Linda's Riviera!

  5. First car my father I remember having was a '48 Dodge Club Coupe'.  We drove across country in 1951 because my dad was transferring from the US Navy Atlantic fleet to the Pacific fleet to participate in the Korean conflict.  Five years later and forever more he purchased Fords.  I never really followed in his car purchasing preference.  I bought whatever was I could afford; from Mercuries to Chevies to Buicks to Cadillacs and some Fords in between.  Oh, and a couple of VWs and one Triumph Spitfire.
