  1. I was hoping I might be able to help you, as I have a book called "Monarch- Meteor" by R.Perry Zavitz, but the early production numbers of the Meteor are not broken down by model. The total number for all 1953 Meteors is shown as 40,115 units. There is a website for 1956 Meteors that had info for other years but I have not visited it in a long time.Brendan.

The dash in 1946 to early 1949 Plymouth P15s and Canadian built Dodge D25s work like that but I didn't know they turned black at 90 mph. I doubt if my Dodge will go that fast. Brendan.

  3. Sometimes telling friends(?) about cars can be a bad idea. I have had this happen to me twice the first was a 1941 Dodge Luxury Liner club coupe and the second was a 1934 Dodge 2dr sedan. Needless to say, if I find any now I keep it to myself. I know of a 36 Ford coupe, 1932 Packard roadster, 1954 Hudson Jet, 1935 Auburn sedan and a few newer cars and trucks from the 40s and 50s and all in this tiny island out in the Atlantic Ocean. Brendan.

  4. Thank you for the link. It's another site that will be bookmarked to get to see it all. In the video gallery, the second video starts with some 1956 Chevrolets. The first one is a black four door that has unusual (to me) side trim. Was this trim original to 1956 or is it modified by the owner? Thanks, Brendan.
