  1. Need good or rebuildable transmission for 1947 series 50. 1942 series 50, and 1946 series 50 will also work. Thanks!
  2. Worn on head, for multiple uses. Here is an ad from 1919, mentioning that it was around 15 years earlier: http://www.halslamppost.com/Carbide%20Cap%20Lamps/slides/Brilliant%20Search%20Light%20Ad%20in%20July%201919%20Acetylene%20Journal.html
  3. Engine removed from running low mileage car. Everything is still attached to it: carb, starter, generator, distributor, etc. $1250. Located in Columbus, Ohio. 614-570-2011 Have other 1936 Buick parts available.
  4. Buick Master Body Parts catalog indicates that the 1942 model 48S and the model 48 trunk lids are the same. It does not indicate interchange with any other Buick or other GM bodies; however, the size of the lids may be the same as some other GM, such as Chevrolet, but the trunk handle and medallion holes would probably be different.
  5. Here is some additional information regarding the probable original owners of the Rauch & Lang - the Sharpe family. I grew up in the neighborhood where the Sharpe’s lived – McIntire Terrace in Zanesville, Ohio. (We lived in the house where the writer, Zane Grey was born, around the corner from the Sharpe home.) Leila Cassell Ingalls was the daughter of a banker in Zanesville, Ohio, Mr. John J. Ingalls, and she naturally married a banker, Mr. Harvey Alfred Sharpe. Harvey was involved in many community endeavors and philanthropy. They had one child, Jay Ingalls Sharpe, born in 1893. Jay did not need to work, but briefly dabbled in selling automobiles. In the mid-teens, until sometime in the early to mid twenties, he owned a company which sold Hudson, Essex, and Dodge Brothers automobiles. It is probable that he arranged the purchase of the Rauch & Lang for the family. Harvey died in 1928, and Leila in 1945, at age 79. Jay died in 1946 at the age of 53, leaving no descendants – only an aunt – Agnes (Aggie) Ingalls. The brick house (and the garage where the R&L probably was kept) still stand at 1022 Findley Avenue in Zanesville; there is a photo on Google Maps. Roger
  6. I believe it may be a Henderson, made in Indianapolis between 1912 and 1914.
  7. Leif, Although very similar to the Dodge, The Plymouth rear quarter window looks to be slightly smaller than the car pictured.
  8. Sure looks like 1934 Dodge. Keiser must not be up yet, or he would be right on this one.
  9. Not sure that Dodge used this particular one, unless it was as aftermarket. There are (2) different Clum switches listed for Dodge, and both are slightly different than this one, and had nickel-plated handles, and no fuse holder, as I recall.
  10. I would guess that it is from a truck, and controls a governor. (No speedometer, just an odometer.)
  11. Yes, 1930 and 1931 Buick. By the way Keiser, that is my former car you used as an example.
  12. I JUST DUG OUT A BOX OF 1953-1962 OPEL PARTS, NOS, STILL IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING. INCLUDES (5) TAILLIGHT AND STOP LIGHT LENSES, ONE 1961 BUMPER GUARD, BOSCH IGNITION PARTS, VALVES AND SPRINGS, SEALS, ETC. APPROXIMATELY 50-75 ITEMS. PREFER TO SELL AS ONE LOT. $175. SEND ME A PM.
  13. I have a complete 1936 40 series rear end assembly from a low mileage car. Includes differential, axle housing, axles, brake drums, backing plates, etc., torque tube and shaft. If interested, please send me a P.M.

    What is this

Looks like the cowl vent positioning detent.
  15. I agree with Keiser31: 1933 Studebaker. St. Regis Brougham, with rear mounted spare tire. It appears to be a 6 cylinder version, due to the slope of the bottom front of the driver's window, and also due to the general proportions.
  16. I believe the third picture is a 1921 Winton
  17. nzcarnerd, Studebaker is correct. Pardon me for jumping in with an incorrect answer earlier. Quite a few makes copied the Packard style.
  18. 1930 and 1931 Buick with wood wheels - either demountable at rim type, or demountable at hub.
  19. There is currently an identical NOS one in an ebay store, which is identified as for 1954-55/56 Ford. There is a picture of the mounting in the package shelf.
  20. The headlights are 29. The shape of the light on the dashboard also indicates it is a 29.
