  1. You'll have a tough time with Bakersfield as there hasn't been one for a couple of years.
  2. I have been to the last 36 Fall Meets and am planning to go again but my better half is having a fit that I want to drive alone again. I think I have driven 12-15 times and I have some stuff to take on the trailer, this time around. The folks that used to travel with me have gotten so old they can't walk the met any more or have passed away. Is anyone looking for a ride one way or is there a member or a couple that would like to drive my truck one way? GMC Duramax Diesel w/ tandem flat bed trailer. Leigh Knudson CAtruckman@aol.com
  3. Having made 15 VIN plates, with OEM permission, I don't see a problem.
  4. Radiator shop lost mine so I don't car the condition but must be restoreable. Any place in CONUS OK. 949.294.2171
  5. All glass is good on 5" reflectors but resilvering will be necessary. There are 4 pcs. at $30.00/ ea. plus shipping at $15.00 no matter how many you buy. These have a beveled edge & are a tiny bit larger then 5" but hard to quantify because of the bevel.
  6. S/n 5356, 7.5V. model 555-G. May be from a White? 11-1/2" from front mounting flange to drive flange (probably magneto) and the back end.
  7. AACA now accepts after market turn signals but so why not have them period correct? The photos show the Yell-O-Lite logo stamped on the visor and an old decal the we found on one housing. Yell-O-Lite Vintage Arrow Style Turn Signals The major components of these lights were located wrapped in1939 newspaper, We have used up all but the housings, front faces and lamp holders are are now making the lenses, pigtails, and internal reflectors. When looking at the complete lamp ass'y you are viewing all original components with new powder coat paint. Stainless steel fasteners and the urethane lenses are the only modern touch. Yell-O-Lites are appropriate for most cars and small trucks from the late '20s thru the 1930s. They can be mounted either above or below the mounting surface and have standard 6V bulbs that are easily changed. Priced a $90.00 pr. or $170.000 for two pair. Catruckman@aol.com or 949.294.2171
  8. I'll have to point out one thing about eBay that seems to have been missed. Millions more people know about it then know about the specialty auction houses. I recently purchased two very obscure truck emblems from a seller that was offering nothing else. In messages to him he stated his grandfather was an engineer at both companies and the emblems were something had been acquired at work 70-80 years ago. I can guarantee both of these emblems are in no one else's collection. One, a White emblem, was a total unknown in the White Truck collector hobby but corresponded in style to a very uncommon but known emblem. eBay has been a source for many emblems in my collection because it is available to the folks who have no knowledge of automobilia. Yes, the asking price is very often ridiculous and I don't pay it but many sales are fairly priced or even low.
  9. I may have listed this previously but never did get an answer. Sorry if you have seen the query before. Entire firewall is 28" high x 34-3/4" wide and the hood formers are 28" apart. It was acquired in a large lot of antique parts taken out of Glacier Park about 30 years ago, but it is not White. Condition is so good I suspect it is NOS.
  10. Need a radiator as mine was stolen and most certainly scrapped. I do have extra engine parts for this truck.
  11. The radiator and hood look like a late '20s but the cowl doesn't match the hood. Look carefully at the license plate grips and see if they don't day White. the outliine for the radiator emblem is perfect for the White.
  12. I know exactly what it is but it seems few first time viewers can figure it out. Have fun!
  13. I picked up this firewall when I was collecting the early White parts at Glacier Park, about 20+ years ago. About two weeks ago it dawned on me that it wasn't a White firewall. Whites had a distinct five radius shape well into the '30s. Anybody have an idea. I think it is NOS or a least a take-off as it has no dirt or even a speck of oil on it. 28" outside to outside on the hood formers.
  14. If you will Email me a picture of your emblem I can probably answer the finish questions. I have a fairly large truck emblem collection but often do not know the application, especially the exact year(s) of use.
