1935 Chevrolet Standard Air cleaner
Timothy D Bowers replied to Timothy D Bowers's topic in Chevrolet
Any chance you can point out to me what should be there? Unless I'm missing something, from the catalogs this is the only decal mentioned for the proper years. Does the '35 Chevy oil bath air cleaner get a decal? -

I believe you. It's the decal that was listed for the oil bath air cleaner in Chev's of the 40s. -
I have an air cleaner, and I have a decal. Can anyone show me the proper location for the air cleaner decal on a mid 30's Chevy? I can't see how the flat decal is going to install on the air cleaner without wrinkling over the curves.

I'm looking for someone that I can visit with regarding the power seat on a '53 Oldsmobile. I've kind of struck out on the Oldsmobile forums, so I'm casting a wider net figuring that the seat bases were similar across the different divisions of GM.

Incredibly, having difficulty finding a thermostat application for our 1937 Model 26 Business Coupe. Anybody have a modern cross reference on a thermostat?

It was suggested to me to cross post to this forum to widen the area of expertise for help with our '53 Olds Super 88 power seat issues..... Can anyone provide a clear picture/explanation of the way the power seat mechanism works to lock and release the adjusting tracks on a '53 Super 88 with the hydraulically operated power seat? Thanks,

We've begun the restoration of a '37 Coupe still owned by the original family. 6Cyl flathead.... We're looking for technical details especially on correct colors for various items. While a very original car, it's obviously had maintenance on components over it's history and we'd like to put everything back the way it should be. For now, what are the correct colors for the cast iron parts of the engine/trans. Are the stamped parts (oil pan, etc) also engine color, or would they be something other, such as black? Thanks, Tim

Does anybody have information on the correct red that is to be in the T&C Script on the bumper, the hood emblem, and the decklid mounted light bezel for the '48 T&C? Thanks very much,

Is there a known correct color of red that belongs in the rear bumper script, center trunk light bezel, and front hood emblem? Thanks, -
Need a radiator for a '33 Imperial CQ. Tanks must be good, condition of the core is not critical. http://stellarrestorations.com/1933ChryslerImperialCQConvertible/index.php http://stellarrestorations.com/1933ChryslerImperialCQ/index.php

Thanks; the senior was received this fall at Hershey. No preservation award yet, however. Would Saturday afford us our 1st opportunity for a Preservation Award?
