  1. Jason, thanks. I contacted Classic Auto Air in Tampa and they indicated they can rebuild my existing hose in 4 weeks for somewhere between $60-$250. Sounds like a plan.
  2. Joel's add is not in the latest issue of the Review.
  3. Does anyone know of a source for a 1964 high pressure air conditioning line? There are no sources in the Review and I haven't found anybody making an after market part.
  4. I used the Dakota Digital (DD) speed sensor. You just remove the speedometer cable at the transmission, attach the pulse sensor and reattach the cable. There is a twisted pair cable that plugs into the universal wiring harness. Pretty simple. The unit can be bought from DD for $35.
  5. Carolyn and I just got to St Louis. Air conditioning worked great! See you Monday afternoon.
  6. The remote is hard wired into the supplied harness. I guess you could have an inline connector to connect/disconnect. There are about 10 wires going to the controller.
  7. I just finished installing a Dakota Digital system on my 1964. I used the remote switch pad mounted under the dash pad.
  8. I bought them from Kanter Auto Parts. I used their model: 4172D
  9. I put air shocks on so I can level the car whenever I have a load in the trunk. Set it at any level you want.
  10. Gene, count me in for a set of '64 trunk cardboards. See you in Lexington. John Hellmuth
  11. Here is a scan of my '64 Owners Guide showing the belt and retractor option
  12. Tom, here are some shots of my '64 seat belts and retractor. I know they are original.
  13. I've have a Pertronics in my '64 for over ten years without a problem. I did have to remove the distributor to shim to get the right gap. I carry a spare module, cost about $60. Johnrex
  14. I'll send you a CD this week. Why wait until June? John
  15. Ed, Carolyn and I will be there! Madereservations last night. John
  16. Powermaster has verything you need to increase alternator output. (High Amp). Talk to Brady at tech support. He helped me with the same change. Johnrex
  17. I second that! Where is next year's meet being held? Johnrex
  18. Ed, as an update, I put a Edelbrock electric choke on the rear carburetor. It works great. John

    '64 Riv A/C

I bought a complete set of o-rings so I could replace everything I touched in the installation.

It's a fairly easy job if you follow the instructions. They are pretty good. You should replace the dryer and all o-rings before evacuating the system. I converted my 1964 about 5 years ago and have had no problems.
  21. Ed. I have had the original Pertronix unit for the last 9 years in my '64 along with their coil. Never had any problem but I do carry a spare module just in case. John
  22. Ed, I paid $200 to have the front and back seat skins installed. John
  23. It's definitely an inflated tire like your pictues #2. The installation looks like a factory job. I've only had the car about three years. Good luck. Johnrex
  24. My 1984 convertible has an inflatable spare?
  25. The last time I checked with Cars, they had no stock and didn't expect to get anymore. I did buy some from: Chuck Close 811 Oceanhill Drive Huntington Beach, Calif. 92648 714-553-8111 cell 714-969-9161 Good luck!
