Southern California....about an hour North of Los Angeles. A little more to the story is that Bill is an older guy who really is proud of his car, and he sees me doing work on my cars, and asked if I had any idea how to take care of this problem. I have never worked on this type of car but can easily do this for him. (Gratis of course) Joe

My neighbor who owns the car is a TC America member and mentioned the newsletters. I will ask if he has them available. Are the viewable anywhere online?

I had found the how-to referenced, but Jeff Backes' website (Backesfamily.com)is apparently no longer available. Does anyone have a copy of his how-to? Joe

This query is to try to help out a neighbor who has an 89 TC but has not internet savvy. His odometer and trip meter stopped working. Speedometer works. I understand this may be an internal gear issue. He says there is no noticeable sound (grinding gear, etc) Is there any way to confirm the problem? What is the resolution? Anything short of an instrument replacement? Thank you, Joe
