  1. Must have got there by itself. No footprints in the snow.
  2. In Red Rocks Park, Colorado Mint Green over Dover White
  3. I wonder where it is now. Photo was taken in Denver, CO.
  4. That photo takes me back. The car was shown as Garnet Red and was well displayed. The car had deducts for being shown with the top half up and with wire wheels. Other than that, the car, to my estimation, was restored to as close to original as could be. Maybe even better. Our Caballero is shown next to it. That was me just next to the umbrella in this photo. This is the same car. Does seem to have a brownish hue compared to the newer photos. Dan Hooker BCA #18632
  5. For you Bug lovers, what do you think of the VW split window? Also the Roady is really rare.
  6. One might find out the purpose of the flap after washing the car. When the hood is lifted a fair amount of water could run into the distributor leaving that person with a chore. The original flap was rubber impregnated woven fabric.
  7. I knew the owner of the grey car (Starlight Blue) that was repainted then resold. I obtained the Blue car from an estate in Rifle, Colorado in the late 1980's. The repaint photo came to me from that owner. In the repaint photo, note that the spotlight and separate mirror appear to be as that in the fully restored car. The restored car does appear to have the correct factory Trailmaster spotlight. But, one would have to trace the restored car to be sure. Caballero2
  8. That deer in the headlights look.
  9. Lancemb: yes I need one for my Roadmaster. The one I photographed was installed on my Super. Thank you for the offer.
  10. Thank you, "Leona" for your contribution. I will "bird-dog" it.
  11. Mine has a marginally readable, raised part number. If yours, "Leona" is readable, I sure would like to know it. This part is ideal for reproduction by 3D printers. Caballero2
  12. This is the only one that I have ever seen on a '57. It is apparently an isolator that protects the spark wire from abrasions and sometimes causes a misfire.
  13. I use the point of the leading edge and it times near perfect at 60 seconds equals one mile.
  14. Note; The same stuff goes around the bottom of the inner fenders.
  15. Interesting, I thought so and, to an extent still do. About 1985, I passed up a chance to buy a four holer with stick transmission, no horn ring, grey interior and original grey exterior paint. The trim tag indicated it was a model 48, which I did not want. The entire front clip would have to been replaced or the extra ventiport inserted in both fenders. Close inspection did not indicate either. The final decision would have been the engine displacement. I did not pursue that. I still wonder if it was a tag error in the factory and sold as a 48. As a novice at that time, I did not know the details or even to check the VIN.
