  1. Actually there is another side to it. it protects the car at shows. By placing it at the corner of the vehicle spectators have to walk around it then to clip my fender...
  2. is it necessary to display the original tools with the car for judging?
  3. ?? can you eloborate that was a confusing response:confused:
  4. Thanks Mickey trailer parking on site sounds great... We are also coming Friday and leaving Saturday after the awards
  5. Here are the main facts that is linked to the flyer. http://local.aaca.org/tidewater/images/2015_Meet_trifold.pdf is there a shuttle from the trailer parking to the show field??
  6. Mickey answered that in his response approx 14 miles
  7. Mickey, thanks you answered all my questions and i look forward to a great day at the meet. are there any maps showing the grounds along with the trailer parking 3-4 miles away? thanks again for your response Mitch
  8. i am considering traveling to the 2015 spring meet to enter my car in judging. i was told that this was a nat'l event so i need to obtain my junior. is everything at the airport museum? truck/trailer parking etc. i am only planning to spend the one day and not interested in shuttling to and from the grounds to a hotel at the beach. i am also hoping its not a cluster like hershey with so many things going on like the flea market, wall to wall traffic etc>> thanks for any thoughts
  9. does anyone know if the car has to be registered and or display a tag to enter judging?? i know it needs to be insured also are there point deductions for not displaying the tools that came with the car???
  10. so i also take from this is a vehicle entered for judging does not need to be legally registered or display a license plate. it just has to be insured correct
  11. thanks for the replys... i guess i will put the stock seat adjusters in and squeeze behind the wheel..
  12. i have a ford A that i will be putting through nat'l judging soon. it has 6" seat adjusters on the front seats and also the vin# on the engine does not match the insurance / registration because its a replacement motor. will these two items affect me in any point deductions? FYI model A vin numbers are stamped on the frame rail underneath the front fenders/ running board so its not viewable.
  13. okay i thankyou both for answering my question mitch
  14. a friend of mine got his first junior at hershey fall 2007 with his 30 ford model A. how can he find out his judging results for his car so he may improve on it when he goes for his senior. thanks mitch
  15. i would like to thank everyone for answering my questions and giving me some new ideas of things that i need to do. this forum was very helpfull and i read alot of the other posts and learned alot. god willing ill see ya all in hershey next year with a painted correct firewall also. thanks mitch
  16. windjamer, okay so let me understand this, i restored my own car so i know every flaw, every part that did not fit just right etc, etc. i should make a list of these things and hand it to the judges so to not try and sneek anything through. i would think at the aaca level the color of a car or fiberglass would be picked up right away. so you reccomend turning in a list of defects so i dont get terminated later.
  17. yea i now have the correct 3x plugs in it. the fiberglass fenders have to go
  18. you are right i need to paint the gutters black they are silver now but the firewall will have to stay. my next model a i do ill make sure that mistake is not made. maybe the judges wont notice.lol. i also have fiberglass rear fenders as the metal ones for the tudor dont fit well. am i correct in saying that there are deductions for fiberglass, if so ill look for nos rear ones mitch
  19. no i missed the deadline but plan on going next year. ill be more prepared anyway. thanks all for the input, i have done real well showing the car on the local level such as buckingham, pa and newhope, pa car shows both taking 1st in the model A class and they use an aaca style judging format. here is a link to some pics if anyone is interested and thanks again mitch http://pictures.aol.com/galleries/carrfixr/
  20. thankyou both for answering my question, i am eligible to enter. at that point in time ill take my risks on point deductions if the color is to far off. mitch
