1936 Cord Phaeton Sale or Trade
mike brady replied to auburnseeker's topic in Automobiles and Parts - Buy/Sell
Randy, I think you will find quite the opposite at Auburn. Every ACD car which is "new" attracts quite a bit of attention. A few years ago a club president brought a RWD conversion quite frequently. Ed is right, Auburn is a great place to market the Cord .........then bring the Auburn the next year because you will be hooked. -
I would heat all the grease out and submerge them in Evaporust for a few days......the pistons should then press out easily.

Oh no what did I do? Now I need a new Username.

Early 810 Cord's used Lockheed brakes. Try calling Auburn Cord Parts in Kansas to see if they have any. Mike

Ed, Is that the Rollston ?

Sorry I didn't get a chance to say Hi to Ed. It was interesting to contrast the subtle differences between the consecutive numbered J's above. Ed's photo above demonstrates that colour is everything.

Collector Homer Fitterling had 24 Duesenbergs
mike brady replied to John_S_in_Penna's topic in General Discussion
The collection was dispersed long ago. Mr Fitterling kept many of his Duesenbergs in the ACD museum, for many years. -
I cannot seem to get the 2" lower radiator hose on my Cord tight enough, to stop seeping, with the correct clamps. The fittings on both the water pump and radiator are smooth (not pitted) and painted. I would rather not use stainless gear clamps, if I can avoid to. The hose is a new piece of Gates Green Stripe. I would appreciate any suggestions which would stop the seepage. Thanks

Joe, A 1158 bulb, which is common in 6 volt systems does not have offset pins but does have two different filaments for brake and running lights, so testing should be done when connecting the pigtails to the harness -

I've driven the black cabriolet and while it is worn, it is a great driving, no stories car.
