  5. Well.... I'm impressed with the hardiness of the newsprint used and heartened by the use of such a cartoon to serve as a gasket lo these many years.
  6. I forwarded the pix to Larry Tholen of the Rockne Registry, and he is pretty certain that it is a Rockne sedan. If you can get the numbers (2 lines) from the body tag at the bottom of the cowl panel, he can positively identify the year, the model, and the trim level.   8. If you are tired of all the crap that shows up when searching for old car parts, try this: type in what you are searching for, and add two little things. Like so.... studebaker -fits -covers This immediately gets rid of most of claptrap that makes searching so annoying.

    What is this?

    Studebaker used those particular hood ornaments on vehicles as various as their 50's pickups, and late 40's coupes and sedans. I had a '49 Champion sedan with that exact hood ornament on it.
  16. Hubcap is definitely a Studebaker.

  18. No one has mentioned the red Studebaker pickup in "The Birds".....
