  1. Do you know who the lucky new owner is?
  2. Looking for a Prestolite tank for a brass car we are working on. Needs to be compete with valve on the top end and a gauge on the bottom end. Will be at Hershey and can pick up. Thanks!
  3. Looking for any owners or parts manuals, service documents, old photos, etc. of the 1910 to 1912 Olds Limited. Prefer originals, but copies considered. Leads appreciated - thanks! David
  4. I realize this is a long shot, but I would be interested in any factory literature - Owners Manual, Parts Manual, etc - originals or copies - for the 1910 to 1912 Limited. Any old photos as well. Leads appreciated - thanks! David
  5. Mark - From the magazine article (below), could you assume it was AACA National? Mahlon Patton was National President that year and Co-chairman of the Tour. I now have his '14 Simplex that he's standing in and we toured in it at last year's Glidden in South Carolina. Unfortunately this is all I have of the 1961 Tour. If you find a tour book, I would be interested in a copy. David
  6. The unfinished 1915 Stevens Duryea speedster is still available and progressing slowly. PM sent earlier.
  7. Frame is spoken for ....thanks for all the interest!

  9. I have a really nice bare frame that would be the start of a great speedster or restoration project. The original VIN numbers are stamped on the rear cross member and stencil painted on the cross member nearest rear axle. It is the shorter wheelbase - 131" model D-Six originally fitted with a 496 ci 6 cylinder engine and was a shaft drive car. It is free but you have to pick it up or arrange for shipping. If you are interested, please either call (and leave message) or let me know by PM. David Peeler 704-564-5468 Charlotte, NC

    Marmon 34 Parts

Unfortunately there were no oil pan drain plugs in the lot. All remaining parts we had were sold as a lot to Jim Aldrich (Raleigh, NC). He can be reached at jcaldrich04@gmail.com
  12. Looking for: 1. Pope-Hartford name plate - usually mounted on the dash. 2. Any Model W drive train parts 3. Owner's manual, parts manuals, and any other factory literature for 1911 Model W Portola Roadster 4. Any advertising material for the 1911 model year Leads appreciated - thanks! David
  13. Thanks Gary - this gets me started! How long did it take to get your wheels? This wheel will be the spare tire on my 1914 Simplex 50 (27" wheels with 37 x 5 Goodrich tires).
  14. Trying to find either a single 100mm Rudge-Whitworth wire wheel or someone that can make one. Don't need the axle hub just the wheel center (or complete wire wheel) to complete a restoration. I had heard there was a shop in New Zealand (Gary Morton?) that had been making them but no longer exists. Any one know where I can find one or get it made?? Thanks!
  15. Al, I have a late 1914 Stevens-Duryea bare frame, left hand drive, and extremely clean. Still has the VIN number stenciled in the rear crossmember. It originally had a 6 cylinder in front. Also have a second Stevens Duryea (same year) that I have been building in to a speedster. All correct factory drive train components but a new speedster body. This is a project i won't finish. Both for sale in North Carolina. Dave
  16. Does anybody have the tour booklet for 1961- I believe it was in the Poconos (PA)? I'm set to return my '14 Simplex to the Glidden tour this year and it was owned/driven by Mahlon Patton in the 1961 Glidden. Leads appreciated! Thanks!
  17. James - I am in the Charlotte area and believe I was a previous owner of your Auburn. I can help you and have sent a PM. David
  18. Nice 1928 Auburn just listed under Cars for Sale. Thanks for looking!
