  1. For giggles and perhaps some motivation I put the trim rings and hubcaps on the passenger side. I'm very pleased with the look. It's a sport sedan so it should look sporty and I think it does. That said the wheels desperately need the pinstripes. I just don't think the car/wheels look at all right without them. I have some ideas I want to try on that.
  2. It's been a minute but I have some progress to share. I had the wheels powder coated. Body color on the outside. Black on the inside, which period photography shows is correct. I still need to have them pinstriped which I struggled to get done properly on the 80C. I also had the trunk hinges powder coated body color, here they are in the sun so you can see them. And here is the chassis on all fours with the black wall tires that I will be using.
  3. yes I have one It was a club project it came disassembled and you had to assemble it.
  4. it is right hand drive but the spare tire prevents you from opening the right door.
  5. appears to be a '37 based on the dash, definitely a GM product.
  6. So it was covered in undercoating and it was media blasted with the rest of the car. I honestly didn't want to deal with it having done the work on my 80C and wanting to achieve a higher quality level than I did on that one, so the place that is doing the body I told them to clean it up and get it right and then I didn't ask questions, LOL.. I know they had a lot of trouble getting the undercoating off. Otherwise they fixed some pin holes and painted it. I'm not sure if they did a sealer on the inside or not. They have smoke tested it and no leaks.
  7. Got the fuel tank back a bit ago and finally installed it. Need to put the sending unit in still.
  8. Thank you, nope not there. though there is some paint chips in the area of where the bracket would go I don't feel like there was ever a bracket there originally.
  9. Should be a letter V in "ACC." section of the body tag, My source is this site: https://www.hometownbuick.com/1958-buick/1958-buick-options-accessories/ yes it does
  10. Mine does not have it, did not have it called out on the firewall tag (i.e. there is a code that could appear if it has Air Poise and that code isn't on the tag), but does that mean it wasn't installed originally... I'm not that much of an expert... YET 😉
  11. Ah didn't realize. Thank you for the response. yes that was an option, not standard on the Limited
  12. Here you are right from the Book perhaps an admin can help with the picture rotation @MCHinson can you help?
  13. so I just looked at my 38-87. it's at 6, BUT... I also noticed some "dimples" around SOME, but not all of the bolts. (for example at 11 and noon continuing your clock analogy). My car has a brake fluid junction block mounted at 10 and if the drain hole had been at 5 the junction block would have more room due to the dimple around the bolt that would have been at 10... for what it's worth...
  14. I should go get this... always had a hankering for one... wife will not be pleased if I do... maybe I should buy it for dad...then I will inherit it...she wont be mad then 🙂
  15. Hickory is a pleasant stop, 321 south is pretty nice wide open and low traffic until you get to Gastonia. If you need anything from Steele Rubber take Hwy 16 South and they are not far off from the Hwy. But it does take you into the heart of Charlotte traffic.
