You and me both Ben. I grew up in Naperville, Lisle and would have liked to go back.
I assume since I've seen no post on it, none of the Texas Road Warriors are making the trip this year?
I mean Roy and Pete are here, but no Bill, Bruce, Willie, others???
Who am I going to drink in the parking lot with?

A few minor updates before the BCA National.
Had the wiper motor rebuilt by https://rebuildingtricowipers.com/ Fickens was lighting fast I had the motor back in my hands with in 7 days of sending it out. Beside that being impressive he called me and gave me a detailed run down of what all he did on this one (and another one I sent him).
The radio has also gone out to be redone by an old family friend. He did the radio in my 80C and the 69 Charger.
Still waiting for the block... hopefully when I get back from the National... and still waiting on the media blaster, but no timeline there which is disappointing.

Just for giggles, can you offer a rough order estimate for what it might cost to re-chrome a lightly pitted set of '38 grilles? (I'll be sitting down...)
$2K for heavy pitted ones.

Ha - so what did you end up with on the crank, .020" under?
020 on the mains, 010 on the rods.
mains were fine at 010 but there are no more bearings left at 010...

I did add one on the frame rail on the passenger side. No I did not install a filter.
Oh and good news I got the spare radiator back, now just need to get it installed, which I am going to let someone else deal with. and the very last thing is to pinstripe it.

Looks like one mount is good and the other is toast.
If you want the "good" one and it helps you, I'll be glad to send it to you and you can get it back to me at some point in the future when you revulcanize yours. Just let me know.
