  2. Added email address information for contact. jfromano@mail.widener.edu
  3. The 17" wheels are from a 2007 Dodge Caliber. I plan on taking pictures of the original wheels and tires this weekend. For the tailight, I wet-sanded, buffed, and clear-coated it. Afterward, I went over the lettering with red enamel. The previous owner was IGottaReatta.

  5. The rear back-light/tail-light was pretty clouded. After wet sanding and polishing the lens, the Buick letters looked very pitted. I figured a touchup with silver paint just wouldn't look right, so I tried some red enamel. It's diferrent. As far as the fire zone is concerned, the pictures where taken in a school parking lot, after hours. Regards, JR
  6. I have a Silver '89 also but rarely see any Reattas at all aound the South Jersey/Philadelphia area except for an occasional red one. I must say that most appear to need a lot of work. Yours looks excellent! Good job and good luck with your ride.
  7. The wheels are 17" 5x114.3 and the tires are 215/60.
  8. Thanks Barney, I'll send you a PM with the VIN number. The wheels are off of a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT. The wheel center had to be ground down about 1/16in to fit over the hub. The bolt pattern matched. Yes, that's a blue pinstripe. The original blue stripe was faded. There were actually some sizable dings in the body moldings, so I wet-sanded, filled, treated with adhesion promoter, painted, and clear coated them. They came out ok. I also used the same procedure on other small sections of the car.
  9. I purchased my 1989 silver Reatta with blue interior in August from a gentleman who is a member of AACA. The car was well-kept and in excellent mechanical condition. Since then, I have performed various mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic upgrades. I can go into further detail if anyone is interested. Please take a look at the photos below, taken right after a thorough wash and wax. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj146/jerrodr/Reatta1.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj146/jerrodr/Reatta2.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj146/jerrodr/Reatta3.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj146/jerrodr/Reatta4.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj146/jerrodr/Reatta5.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj146/jerrodr/Reatta6.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj146/jerrodr/Reatta7.jpg
  10. I've checked out some of the old threads regarding successful steering wheel change-outs, but are there any recommendations on the easiest swap and most contemporary-looking wheel for an '89?
  11. It looks almost impossible to identify any markings on the original green capacitors which need to be replaced for the radio crackling noise. Another post identifies the caps as 1-microfared, 50-volt. Does anyone know if they are electrolytic (polarity sensitive)? If they are, is the circuit board identified +/- for an easy re-install? Thanks
  12. Barney, Everything you stated makes perfect sense. I'll stick with your advice and start looking for a nice set of 16s or 17s in the 5x115 pattern.
  13. Barney, A lot of responses as well as other Reatta sites still reference the 5x114.3 size which I believe are what the current Mustangs use. You indicted that 5x115 is the correct size; can you please confirm? Thanks again for your help.
