  1. I have light purple headlight lenses on my '24 T...would they be original ford parts? Also there are the initials L.E.S. 23 at the bottom, what would that indicate? Thanks for your help, Bob
  2. Thanks...manual is first on my list. Just glad it is running as smoothly as it is...want better.
  3. Thanks....I thought the gap would would be in that range. Lots to learn about this baby. I drove it to our local Elks lodge for the 4th and the leather fan belt broke, went to the parts store and found a similar length...worked like a charm. I just knew it would fly off since it wasn't the same width. It's going in my tool box for emergencies.
  4. Anyone know what the gap is for a champion 25...fits my T. Is there a modern version I can order from a local champion dealer?
  5. Well I meant as smooth as possible,Ha. Some trash in the gas has given me fits.
  6. Is there a special fuel filter for the gravity fed fuel system or will a conventional filter do the trick? What about adapters for modern spark plugs. Trying to get this baby to run more smoothly. Thanks guys Bob
  7. Is there any way to test the cooling system to make sure water is circulating properly? Bob
  8. Hey thanks. The surface lube I use is X-19A. It is a great lubricant and it stops rust...really works. Check them out at www.x-19a.com. Thanks for the advice. Bob
  9. Thats what I figured. She is running like a top...just need to trouble shoot the cooling system now, seems to be over heating. I idled it this morning for about 5 mins to work in the new oil and gas treatment and it released some coolant. Maybe not enough air at idle. Thanks for your help...really need to get the manual. Bob
  10. Hey thanks 58Mustang...been piddling with her all night. Trying to get ready for the fourth. Does the engine oil lube the transmission as well? I'm in the learning curve...had to make a gasket for the carb bowl, hope it holds. Kinda like working on a big lawn mower engine with out of date parts. Thanks again
  11. I know this a dumb question, How do you check the oil level in a '24 Model T. I have just bought this car and do not have a manual yet. Thanks folks
