  1. Hi Folks, Just now getting back to this. I want this car gone, I'd like to get out of it what I spent to purchase it, so I'm asking for a firm $800. I've put over $600 into it since it was purchased, and the inspection sticker is still valid for transfer. I'd like it gone as soon as possible, so if you're interested contact me at doc@priemium.com. Regards

  3. I've searched and come up empty on the window adjustment directions. Can anyone point me to where they are? Thanks in advance...
  4. No problems with the cassette, it's definitely radio specific issue...
  5. Dave, What's the GM color # of the tan carpet? It's the saddle, correct?
  6. I replaced the original radio box with a unit off of a mid '90s model GM pickup, and still I have issues with reception. What's very strange is if I scan the stations it does, in fact, stop at those freqs that are stations, but I either get straight static or a VERY weak signal. I haven't properly troubleshot the antenna cable, the most likely culprit, but I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this same issue before...
  7. Hey folks, Will the ECM out of the '91 Reatta work in an '89?
  8. Life is like a box of chocolates.... ...I bought the Reatta a mere two months ago off of ebay to meet the need for a second vehicle so the fiance' could drive the primary, then she goes out and buys a BMW!!! Here's the original auction for the previous pics... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=230140707167&rd=1 The Reatta passed MD inspection last Friday (7/27). She's not much to look at (I'll work to get pics up), the paint is faded, could definitely use a paint job, but she's supposed to be black, saddle interior. This is what I've done: New battery New starter Replaced dash cluster Replaced radio box Replaced ignition cylinder Replaced steering wheel Rebuilt sunroof New door keys New keyless remote The a/c needs to be recharged, and the driver's headlight bell crank needs to be replaced, however the motor is fine. The passenger window needs adjusting to align it properly in the guide rail, it works, and the trunk lock cylinder needs repair. The keyless remote does open it, as does the glove compartment switch. All other electrical components work, seats, windows, display. So, if you're interested in a potential Reatta restore car that you can drive away and register in the state of MD today, send me an email with an offer. Cheers!!!

  10. One of the issues the car had when I bought it was the passenger window being off track when raised and binding. I disassembled the door and found one of the wheels on the rail the window is bolted to had come out of the track. After much contortioning I managed to get the wheel back in the track. The front edge of the window slides upward in a guide track that it now sits in front of, and apparently had done so for some time, given the compression of the plastic insert in the guide track. I need to somehow reseat the window in the guide track and want to know if anyone has experienced this problem and if there's an easier way to get it back into the guide track without disassembling the whole mess...again, thanks in advance.
  11. Well folks.... I jumped in and swapped the starter this afternoon, a pretty easy task overall, I had braced for a tedious, painful task. What I found when I got the old one out...WOW!!! The bell housing was shattered, and the gear at the end of the spindle was missing, the spindle itself a bit mangled... No damage to teeth on the fly wheel, and the engine fired nicely with the new one in place!! Now I need to replace the oil pan gasket, tune it up, and steam clean those disgusting carpets...WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!
  12. I don't mean to sound completely dense, you mean if I'm staring down at the engine I can find it closest to the grille, on the right side?
  13. Hi everyone, I got the car back on Friday, it passed inspection!!! However, they inadvertently killed the battery and in the process that seems to have killed the starter. It grinds as though the solenoid isn't pushing out the spindle. I pulled down the PDF on the crank system but nowhere does it seem to identify the exact location of the starter. Is it driver or passenger, front of the engine or rear? Your help is greatly appreciated...

Hi Dave, I'm in need of the light covers for the license plate, my left one is gone and the right one is cracked. Any possibilities there? Regards
