  5. My father often tells of a very large field of what he claims were hundreds of Model A & T Fords that he use to drive past down around Chester Pa. during his stint in the service in the early 1960's. Story he heard was they were unsold cars when the body styles changed. Does anyone here have any pictures or info on what they were? It could have been at the Ford Chester Plant.. They were in operation from 1927 thru 1961..

  10. D= Fast Four the rest is just a sequential engine #.. The engine before yours would have been D957999 the engine after would have been D958001. you will find your engine # is about 50,000 higher than your frame/Vin # providing it is the engine for the car. Sorry there just isn't anything exciting to decipher in DB engine #'s in those days.
  11. I would say with the ever growing #s of cremations vs funerals, most would prefer a "Last Ride" in something of this nature. But In all reality I bet more of us end up getting our last ride home to our families in a Fed-Ex truck or a USPS mail van..
  12. IIRC Dodges only V8 was the 241 in 53-54.. 331 was a Chrysler only engine.. Cool Picture! but I bet that was a real slug pulling that trailer up hills with the whopping 150 HP
