  1. blondi is cutting out, just like you turned the key off for a momemnt (tack flicks too) I have changed the sensor in the distrubutor and cleanded the contacts in the plugs that come from it. It used to do this from time to time but just un plugging and re plugging in the distributor seemd to solve it. Any thoughts?
  2. yup the pannel has to come off...and there are little screws holding on that bit of carpeting so dont forget them
  3. fwiw about a year ago i had a bit of a go against a 308 ferarri...that stage 3 smec and big exaust made him a small red speck in my rear view mirror. I know he was on it hard when i passed him, I know the sound of that motor well as I had one for a while...

A bottle of red and a bottle of white. </div></div>man I am LIKING THAT, off to the shop to wang one up myself.think i will put the wine bottles in a solid state cooler thing running off the power supply.......perfect, chilled white or champers..now THATS what a maserati tc IS!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. now thats what the TC needs in its mini trunk (behind the seats), chuck out the spare tire and custom make a picknick basket. there would be room enough for wine bucket, two glasses and 2 bottles of bubbly...NOw we be talking!

I laugh in a way, the little TC (done properly) now causes people of all ages to say "beautiful car" and I marvel that with 90,000 miles on the clock on mine it performs very well and is trouble free. That is very un italian auto, at 57k miles my 308 had been in the shop 37 times, the tc only once for a new cam belt. Is the tc a pure bred, nope, but like the mongrel she is strong, lovely and a joy to play with every day.
  16. ahh well, to each their own... at least our cars (some) look better than his speed bird
  17. new thread, just musing on some of the "modifications" i have seen here.............I wonder what chip would/could do to a tc....
  18. you know the guy chip foose, he is a heck of a designer. His credo when modifing a car is to make it look like what the factory should have/could have made it. I did a lot of reseach on maser and its models during the time period that the tc was designed before I started detaling mine. The TC in many ways a 2 seat convertable in the same flavor as the quatroporte. Many of the interior cues are there (altnertae color on the insturment hood and the plush vrs sports seats. In any event, maser had a great sense of style, do a bit of research and make the tc look the way it SHOULD have looked....
  19. boy am i glad i sold my 228...goooooooooood luck buddy

  21. what i used was a metal licence plate cover, painted to match my car (that lovely yellow) then using doublesided tape (sold at auto parts stores for attachement of trim)attached the plate to the cover. I then (after measuring for center etc) screwed it to the front bumper cap. You can fiddle with placement using to little dabs of that double sided tape to find a appealing spot.
  22. had sat radio, and commerical free it was only "sort of"....aerodynamicl it is in non laminar flow, hummmm.
