The Wide Variety of Buick Dashboard Designs

I think my 61 has a beautiful dash layout, with the mirror-matic speedo and center stack layout that in my opinion, was ahead of its time... -
1964 Buick Electra 225, 30k original miles, $15K obo

I've had good success using Hemmings, and have both bought and sold cars through a Hemmings ad. I encourage you to set up a Hemmings ad, and attach several pictures; you will get a national (even international) audience through Hemmings. Your car is beautiful! I own a similar Electra 225, with mine being a 61. -
Raise your hand if you drove at least one old Buick this weekend

Had the 61 deuce and a quarter out for a short drive last evening. The 401 nailhead has been rebuilt and she seems to be a happy camper now! -
Wow, Seafoam's touched up console looks great. I will seek out a paint jobber and see what they can do. Thanks much!

I'm looking for paint to refinish my center console and front door armrests (custom interior) for a 65 Riv. My interior is dark green. Anyone have ideas as to where I can locate such paint? Thanks!

Thanks! I agree with you that the Manta is a blast to drive. I'm happy to have it back on the road!

Here are a few pics of my 74 Manta Luxus, which I've owned since 1979 and is affectionately known as "Hooptie". We've made at least 8 trips across country from California to Washington, DC along with numerous trips between DC and Connecticut, DC and Detroit, and DC and Alabama. Always has been a trusty road companion! I've recently completed its restoration (if you're ever really complete), with much help from Todd, Tammy and Debbie at Opels Unlimited - those guys are fantastic.

Excellent! Thanks!

Are the trunk lids for the 63-65 Riv interchangeable? I know that the back panel above the bumper differs, but other than the placement of the Riviera script, are the trunk lids interchangeable? Thanks!

Is your antenna still available? If so, I'm interested.

do you still have this nailhead for sale?

I have a 67 Riv, highly optioned, that I'm about to place on the market. I am the 2nd owner - I purchased it in 2006 from the original owner in California. I'm in Maryland, but have the original California black plates. The car is turquoise with a white vinyl top.; currently has about 83K original miles. It has the aqua custom bucket seat interior with factory headrests and console, power windows and seats, a/c, factory am/fm radio w/ rear speaker, chrome rally wheels. The car is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical shape. It has been repainted once in the original color (after being stripped down to bare metal), new OEM vinyl on top and seats, rebuilt front suspension, new exhaust system, top-end engine overhaul, electronic ignition, new radiator, starter, brakes/brake hoses, and more. I have all service records since I've owned it, and it is garage kept under cover. Attached is a picture.

I had the 61 Electra 225 4 door hardtop out on the road on both Saturday and Easter Sunday. It attracted a lot of attention, and it drove and rode real nice. Hope to get it back out again this weekend! -

It looks like this one has the rare air bag system! (look at the steering wheel) -
These look really nice...I will visit American Racing's website.

This Riv looks really good. My first Riv was a 65 in the same color combination and I've always wanted to get back in one like it.

You may also want to try Rock Auto for mechanical parts, and SMS Upholstery for fabric, vinyl, carpet, and door panels. There are a few salvage yards, including Wheatbelt Auto that specialize in classic buicks. I found all of these sources to be helpful, and just finished getting my 61 Electra 225 back on the road.
-
Yes they did...also keep in mind that Buick used the Riviera name for its 4 door 6 window Roadmaster sedan in the early 50s and for the 4 door 6 window Electra 225 hardtop from 59 through 62.
-
Finally got my 61 on the road this past weekend...it has been a 16 year journey! Still have a few things to iron out, but the important thing is that one more 61 "deuce and a quarter" is back on the road!
-
My 61 Electra 225 is almost back on the road...it's been a long process, and I am looking forward to driving and showing it. It is the 4 door Riviera hardtop, and I don't see many of them around. I see even fewer of the Electra 2 door hardtop. I'll try to post some pictures...
-
I'll try the parts place inc. Will also look into the AC Delco part number. Thanks much!

Yes, I tried them...they have the unit if the car is equipped with the oil pressure light, but not if the car is equipped with the oil pressure gauge.
