  1. Here are some other beauties from the era that were there!
  2. Yesterday, I won my first award for my 82 FS Imperial, the much coveted Golden Smog Pump award! It is a first place trophy for Malaise Daze and basically a ‘best of show.’ award! The group focuses on cars from 1973-1995 and there were several dozen cars present so I was very humbled to win the award!
  3. Boomers mistaking generations again. Millennials are the ones who still know how to drive a stick got their license on their 16th birthday and are driving many clubs today, Gen Z’ers are the ones who don’t have a license until age 27 because they are afraid to drive and don’t know what PRNDL is.
  4. Found a wheel I forgot I had that had the leather intact and few cracks so I used the plastic/vinyl leather paint I had and went to town on it! Turned out pretty good!
  5. Yes the issue is when it hits the sun, I had a nice one on my other Imperial and within a few months it was toast. Something to do with the plastics used
  6. They don’t come up and most are cracked beyond belief. It’s a typical problem with these Chrysler wheels.
  7. I need to get the wheel on my 82 restored, where are some good places to do that?
  8. the Grumman LLV Is based on the S10 from the 80s and While I was getting my brakes repaired they were working on this ancient Grumman LLV (last made in 1994) which was being forced back into service complete with a new exhaust, glass, paint, stripes, wiring harness and brakes. It had been off the road and probably in a storage yard for years. Clearly USPS is trying to buy time until they receive their replacements which will be sometime away.
  9. Combine a Chevrolet Corsica, Space Aliens and Dinah Shore and you have an ad to remember! I was thinking today about cars that used to be very common on the road in the last 30 years and now are not. One is the Corsica built starting 1986 as a rental car then released to the masses in December 86/Jan87. It is one of the few GM cars that was no shared amongst the brands (except Pontiac in Canada). you could order them fully loaded or bare bones! In 1991 they changed the dash and the interior design and engine options but they basically remained unchanged for 10 years. Here is a weird commercial for the Corsica which included space aliens!
  10. They were just the typical reprise releases I’ve purchased the correct ones and put them in the console. fun fact is that Warner/reprise demanded cash and carry for the tapes because of Chryslers precarious position in 1979,1980,1981,1992.
  11. The box is for Sinatra tapes and has Sinatra’s signature on it, as this is a Sinatra edition imperial.
  12. well most are now converted to a 2bbl or 4bbl. It was the efi system mostly the first round of parts was garbage, lack of knowledge etc. they can be brought to full running order if you have the parts on hand.
  13. I have a Bissell cleaner the thing is we had to reuse the carpet as the furry carpet is unavailable unfortunately
