  1. Hi there, I'm in need of the center main caps for a 1936 pontiac straight six, I can't find them anywhere online or at the swap meets this summer, and lacking a workable motor my project is at a total stand still. I'm in Laporte County Indiana if that helps out.
  2. I've got a 36 pontiac straight six that has had one of the main caps broken in two, my question is if the cap can be welded together, or if a machine shop can make a new one for the motor? or am I at a loss and need to find a new motor.
  3. I'm in laporte county indiana. I've actually been somewhat actively looking for the parts I need for the last 8-10 months, I can't seem to find any straight six engine parts in my area.
  4. I'm not really worried about NOS, a used and slightly worn cam gear or main cap doesn't really worry me. Just trying to feel if someone here has a donor motor that I could get harvested for me. I'll try the hemmings idea sometime soon. I don't have pics of the car as of right now.
  5. I've got a 1936 pontiac with a straight six, the original motor only has two issues, I need the center main caps, and a replacement cam timing gear. My fiance recently lost her job and money is very tight for us right now. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. I wouldn't put the belt in the metal seat back, that's around 18 gauge maybe 16, if anything get a square tube and place it between the seet back and bottom, bolt in place and run your belts from there. Of course, If I'm not mistaken we don't need belts in our cars, just don't crash
  7. I've got my 36 pontiac engine torn apart and seem to have lost the pictures of my timing on the tear down. Anyone have any info where the cam/crank should be pointed? it's the deluxe six, and cylinder #1 is at TDC. Thank you
  8. I've got a 36 deluxe, I haven't tried to get the passenger running board off, but they both need sandblasting first or something. Let me know any info if you would bob.
  9. I'm looking for a color match for a 1936 Pontiac 4 door, the color code for the paint is 28, and for the trim is 30. Any help would be appreciated.
