searching for36 dodge grill surround trim clips
36humpback replied to 36humpback's topic in General Discussion
Thank you. I'll try them and get back to you if I can't find anything else. I have been contemplating making some out of metal zip ties. -
I'm trying to find a source for these little clips that hold the trim to the grill surround for my 36 dodge panel. Any help will be appreciated. Bob

Looking for 1936 Dodge Brothers pickup spare wheel
36humpback replied to keiser31's topic in Dodge Trucks
I bought one from Vic's Dodge garage out of corvallis a year or two ago for $75. He might still have more. Bob -
I think I figured out how the different pieces go together. The "S" bracket goes over the top of the rear bracket so the tank goes against it on top. (with cushioning added of course). Thanks for everyone's input and help. Bob

I have a 36-40 master parts list for job rated trucks, and all it shows is the strap itself. No nuts, bolts, or anything.
-
more pics of what straps look like. The end with the bolt, bolts to the cross member just behind the transmission. The back end bolts to the tank support shown in one of the pictures. It is a 36 Dodge humpback panel. the tank is on the driver's side running front to back. The gas cap is right below the driver's seat. (no OSHA back then) Bob

Over 100 views and nobody knows the answer?

I'm having problems trying to figure out how the gas tank straps on my 36 humpback panel go. I know which way they bolt on, but can't figure out how and where the "s" shaped brackets go. I'm getting to the point where I don't even know if they go to the straps. They were off when I got it, and they were bolted onto the ends. Any help will be appreciated. I've tried two different places, but both do not seem right. Thanks Bob

Thanks Keiser, I knew you would/should know the answer. That's pretty much what I was thinking. Lace it up with square knot at top and tuck the ends back under the laces.

Another group I belong to is trying to identify about when this pic was taken at Wallowa lake Lodge. ( I worked there the summer of 1972.) If someone can date the cars it would be helpful. Thanks in advance. Bob

I don't have a picture of it, but on Highway 18 going thru the cascade mountains in Oregon, there is a Ford pickup about 50 feet up in a tree.

Mine is a 36, but looks close enough. It looks like you don't have all the parts. Here are 4 pictures of the one on my panel and one pic of the replacement ones I got from Vic's dodge Garage (Google his web page) He is outside of Corvallis. I've saved a lot in shipping by going and getting my stuff. The rubber parts are screwed inside of the door. The arms go from the inside of the door to the bracket welded on the inside of the pillar. The arms are hooked up the the bracket with cotter keys. (If i remember correctly. I haven't gotten to installing them yet.) Hope this helps. The old left side pillar bracket is bent in the pics. Bob
