  1. This weekend I came across what I believe to be a very rare car. It is said to be a 1920 Cole with a V-8 engine. It has a two passenger coupe body and appears to be very complete and in good condition. Does anybody out there have any information on these cars? I found very little information on the web. Thanks Seaton
  2. I am in the process of freshening up the motor in my car and was at the machine shop today. We were looking at the cylinder assmbly and tried to figure out how the valve stems were lubricated. I don't see how a spash system could get oil to the valve stems as they are in closed off compartment on the side of the block with only 3 small holes leading back to the base . It has pressure lubed mains and spash rods. Does anybody know how this works? Thanks Seaton
  3. Hello Fellow Studebaker Heads, I am tring to restore my old Studebaker and need some help in locating some parts and information. I need to find a front apron that goes under the radiator, one of the small levers in the ignition switch, a clock for an open car, a big six rear end for increaed speed (i think they will interchange and just have a better ratio) and a set of wood wheels and the stuff to put them where the solid budd wheels use to be. Also does anyone know what colors were available back in 1924 besides black? Thanks for any help, Seaton Howell
  4. Hello Peter, I too am restoring a 1924 el special 6 Touring car. My car came to me pretty much complete and I have a lot of pictures of it before I started to take her down for restoration. My car came out of a Ga barn about 1980 after being there since 1933. She was apparently stored there as all the gas had been drained. It then went to another location in Ga. were it sat in a garage until I got it about 2 years ago. When we got her here I scooped all the oil out of the pan and changed it, changed the coil and battery put some gas in her and she fired right up. I could not believe how well it ran after sitting for 72 years! Anyway if I can provide any pictures or information just let me know. Thanks and may God bless< Seaton
