  13. Hello, I have a 1924 special six and had the same question. I visited the museum archives in South Bend to find out. According to what I was told, my car was available in a blue and a burgundy. My car was black. They further explained that they would start the year with so much of each color and when that ran out the would use what they could get. I have an original Studebaker parts manual that covers from 1922-1925 and in it I found a notation that Studebakers were available in most any custom color. I do know from research that metallics did not come out until about 1927. To me that kind of leaves option to color up to you.
  14. Hi Brian, I had the same problem on my 24 special. I think the material is Bakeolite. I used epoxy to repair mine and they came out looking great. Good luck, Seaton

  22. I am in need of a water pump impeller or a used water pump. It looks like several years of the special and big six cars will work. Also I would like to find some one who knows about the clutch disk used on the 24 model. I need to find two of the new disks. Thanks Seaton
  23. Hi Brian, I am not sure about the 27 model year but in talking with people at the Studebaker Museum about my 24 model I was told they had standard colors but that you get one about any color you wanted. Once the standard color ran out for the year it was what ever they could get. One of my original studebaker parts manuals states that in order to get the corect parts you had to provide the body and serial number due to the fact that there had been numerous custom units painted. This does not answer your question but for what its worth I am going with a color other than was shown. I am going with what I think will make the car look the nicest to me! Thanks Seaton
