  1. Thanks for the information. I have one of my grandfather's license plates that may have gone to the car. It is made of thick leather, 7 1/2 x 20 1/2 inches with two metal reinforcing strips on the back. The front has the number 22 made out of aluminum with each numeral measuring 4 x 6 inches. In the lower right hand corner are the letters NB with each letter 2 1/2 x 3 inches made out of aluminum. The minutes from the Comal County Commissioners Court, August, 1907, report my grandfather registering the first car, a Ford. The City Marshall of New Braunfels, (thus the "NB" on the plate) was charged with issuing numbers for the cars. The cost of registration was fifty cents and an ordinance was passed setting the maximum speed at 8 mph. My grandfather was a prolific car trader and may have traded up to the Cadillac, perhaps it was the 22nd car registered.
  2. My grandfather put together a kit car about 1905. I have a picture I think is it that I am attaching. Does anyone know anything about this car? Thanks.
  3. My grandfather registered the first car in Comal County Texas in 1907. It was a Ford. I'm attaching a Model A that I think was this car. Does anyone have any information about this particular Model A? Thanks
