Keith Lee, excellent wheels for 41 Lincolns. 702-588-1934. He also had all of the dash knobs as well. Tom

As I remember they are simply pressed into position behind the water pump to redirect the water toward the rear cylinders,.

Convertible top replacement- vendor recommendations?
Tom_Overfield replied to a topic in Lincoln & Zephyr
Tops online has them, one has a plastic rear window (incorrect):the other will be covered and you will nead the window glass frame for the rear as well as the glass, then have someone cut the top and install the glass. I think a much better solution would be to find a local trim shop that can make your top. Each 41 was a bit different, so the only way to go for a perfect fit is this route. Make sure the trimmer you choose knows these tops inside and out. I’m confident you will be able to source this without much trouble. Use the original material, Haartz cloth. It really is up,to you into how you go, stock or not. Tom -
Columbia vacuum control clutch attachment
Tom_Overfield replied to Tom_Overfield's topic in Lincoln & Zephyr
Ok, just came in from the garage and I have every thing needed to get the clutch pedal rod attached, then up to the vacuum control. Have several control cables and one will be perfect. This will be easy it seems to at least get every thing to the back install the hoses onto, the shift control. Thanks Jeff and Ken. This is what makes the forum so great! -

Hi everyone, Over the years I have found several of our group using the front part of a Lincoln frame for this purpose. John Murphy had a great one with a V 12 in it, he could simply turn the key pull out ignition, hit start button. Anyway I know of a frame being available any interest? Tom

Is there a means to add a technical section to the forum, not for information needed, but for those that can provide information, I think it be a great addition to our forum. Lots of information out there for Zephyers and Continentals. That section could even be broken down into sub -sections, engine, running gear, electrical. Kind of a how to. Example, " how to set points" followed by the way to actually accomplish this. This would fit in the either engine or electrical sub-forums,etc. Thoughts? Tom

Infinity and other cars using a fuel gauge with a pointer. If you think your fuel tank is empty, look closely at the guage, you will find a peg at the bottom. Sometimes it jumps that peg somehow. Other vehicles havie this problem also. Simple fix, get two small SUPER MAGNETS, regular one won't work, then placing theses magnets as close as you can get to the needle, when you see it move, take it counter clockwise past full toward empty, the needle will fall into place. Time to fix, seconds. Dealer fix, well over 600. Tom

I rebuilt my carb twice, once over 30 mph, it couldn't supply enough gas. I had installed an electric fuel pump earlier and when I drive the car now, I reach under the dash, flip the switch, end of problem. Either a worn cam lobe or worn pushrod on mine. Tom

This may help.

Starting problem when 41 Continental warm
Tom_Overfield replied to Russ@Kiawah's topic in V12 Lincolns Only
By all means make sure you have heavy cable from battery to selonid and from there to starter. As long as your grounds are good and clean, it should start very easily, hot or cold. 12 volt cables are a no no on a 6 volt system. Tom
