  1. Try Jim Finn or East Coast Reattas
  2. On July 6, 2016 Dashmaster and I did a series of posts on taillight refinishing. Do a search using Taillight Refinishing with Daves89 as the author.
  3. I know that kdirk has at least one new one. You could try a PM to him. He has not been on the forum in some time...
  4. Where do you buy a used car for $2500.00? It's turning into a steal. If nothing else a great winter driver.
  5. I believe the Blue cars [from many car makers] had clear coat/peeling issue more then any other color.
  6. I installed a Dorman 692-102. It physically an exact replacement but your fuel reading will be off [in my case about 3 gallons] on a tank. I fill up my car completely and just track gallons used through the CRT. Or Jim Finn probably has a good used one.
  7. As you know the brake system is a "closed" system so unless you have leaks it is hiding somewhere.
  8. I would check the brake pads for wear.
  9. If your brake pads are worn the might make the level low. With the kek off pump the brakes about 40 times [until the pedal gets hard] and then top off your fluid.
  10. Pretty honest appraisal as well as good pictures showing both the good and the flaws. If it was a red/tan I'd be driving down for it...
  11. You will trip the electrical warning on the CRT if the "service engine soon" light bulb is burned out.
  12. Truck lite is a brand. They have a rectangular bulb that fits our cars. They are a bit pricey at about $350.00 a pair. I believe they made a needed improvement because now they have a "heater" inside the bulb to help melt the snow which is important in areas they get snow and freezing rain. Don't remember the harness number I used, maybe someone who knows will chime in.
  13. They could be used but they are discontinued as well.
  14. Thanks but not for me. My wife and I are at 42 but my wife's cousin/husband are at 50, and then the neighbor's son graduated high school. But it will be a busy weekend doing both which is why I cannot do the Buick reunion.
  15. I really would like to come but can't. We have a 50th wedding anniversary and high school graduation that same weekend.
  16. I have everything in my '88 to be a Select 60 but am missing the x22 designation. Use it as a winter car. Also have perfect suede 16 ways from the car in the basement just waiting for the 16 way all leather ones in the Red to wear out...
  17. Don't think you looked in the correct place. Check the spare tire well.
  18. It's on the code in the trunk well. X22 I believe it is.
  19. Well let us know as I just called [1:50 pm on Wednesday 06/14/2022] and the guy told me they don't have any in stock and didn't have inventory prior to today. I hate getting the runaround...
  20. The Black select 60s had tan 16 way seats. My Black looks like a select 60 in every aspect but isn't one.
  21. Kind of off the wall but do you have all the plugs plugged in and if so in the correct place. It is a bit tight behind the radio and you shouldn't be able to plug in the wrong place, but still...
  22. I'm sorry you took as condescending sarcasm, I didn't mean for you to take it so hard. I used to think of these forums as if it were a bunch of guys just hanging around a garage teasing each other a bit about what they're doing or want to be doing and offering advice if asked. But like all things there is an evolution and these forums are changing, some ways better, some ways worse. Good luck in your search I meant you no malice.
  23. Too bad it's the only Edsel left in the world. Otherwise you could look for another one...
  24. I would take your broken dipstick to a local you pick and walk the yard looking for one. Then when you find a matching one slide yours in to protect the engine walk up to the counter and pay for it. There has to be a number of Buicks, Olds, Pontiacs out there that will work.
  25. I wonder how much gas there is in the tank. Could make it really valuable...
