  1. It's spring and I thought the cupholder questions would start again. This thread is one of Barneys oldest. [i sometimes go back and see what people talked about 7-8 years ago].
  2. OK We got the year and location. What is the color? Inside and out.

  4. Why don't you post an order site[Like Ronnies site]? We can go there an order if we want. You can set up pay pal or accept checks. For $15.00 I'll take one as well. Could you do the same for accumulaters?

  6. I went to Walmart and bought the extra large [i didn't remember what size to get!] cuff. I adjusted the seat per John w/2 Reattas recomended. My lumbar bag was completely disentegrated, so all I had to do was cut 3 rings, reach my hand up to wipe out all the small pieces. I then slid the new cuff up and into place, smoothed cuff out and adjusted to fit in the gap and ran the tube to meet the old tube. Cut the tube, used the splice supplied with the cuff and was done. Total time spent 1/2 hour. Adjusted seat back to my preferred position, tried lumbar switch, and every thing is in working order. Very easy job. Thanks for the help!

  8. My air box was bad with rusted bolts and a broken mount to the engine compartment. You are in Minnesota. I'll bet Jim has one to send/sell you.

  10. E034 is the code for a mass air flow sensor. They are one of the most easiest parts to replace. It is the little black square electrical unit on the hose that goes from your air filter box to the motor. You may want to clean your intake as well with a product called Seafoam. Just do a search using seafoam and you will find more info that you need [in this case older then 3 weeks and less then 1 year. Otherwise you will get the discussion on Seafoam for transmissions]. This by the way is another very easy thing to do. Good luck!

  12. You should start with the brake test at www.reatta.net. It may be the accumulater or the pressure switch for the red light and the amber light may then go out or you may then need abs sensor leads for the front wheels. At any rate do the test and report back with your results. There are guys on this forum that will easily tell you what you need. At any rate welcome to the forum. We are here to try to keep your car roadworthy. How long have you owned it and do you have any pictures? Barney I am sure wants your VIN as well as any options and interior/exterior colors that your car has for a file he keeps. You may also want to put your location and year of your car in your address so we can better help you.

Barney, I believe the same is true for the foglights.

    Coil Died

If you go to www.car-part.com and look up a 1992 Pontiac Transport you will find all the cars that will have a coil pack and ignition module that works on the Reatta.

  18. What I have learned is that when you are out at the u-pick yard buying something of value, look at other GM cars for stuff like this. They usually focus on the part they want to charge you for and throw in the oddball stuff. My buddy bought a V/W transmission and I got a T-handle lug wrench, door mirror clips, door selenoid, and a short wiring harness all for free. DO NOT TRY PUTTING THEM IN YOUR POCKET AND WALKING THRU! ALWAYS SHOW WHAT YOU GOT! That same yard while we were there stopped a guy. He told the guy it was a $280.00 fine. Makes for a pretty expensive part!
  19. The latches are very common to other G M glove boxes of the era. I have extra that I pulled from a u-pick yard. The problem is the colors don't match. I have purchased a matching vinyl spray from SEM.I have yet to break one of my original ones, so I havn't had to spray one yet. I didn't think that was something Jim had.
  20. Just this week I removed the guts from a non working cassette deck. I had a friend of mine machine a new plate to replace the door, and thats where I installed my GPS. I will post pics soon. I have to say that what you did with a '90 dash looks far better then what I could do with an '89. Yours looks factory, mine still looks added on.
  21. 2 sources, Jim Finn or www.car-part.com or maybe someone else will weigh in.
  22. Barney is probably right, but I agree w/John that if you have not done the coil pack upgrade you should. Look at your coil for gunk oozing out. If it is, spend 15 minutes and replace it. Parts are readily available at a salvage yard. Too bad you thru $ at all the other parts first.
  23. Once again you are right. I was in a mindset that the car is 20 years old therefore the only parts I can get are used. I will call tomorrow to get a price. Thanks
