  1. Can anybody send me a high-resolution photo or several of original body side molding for my 76? I'm sure 75 is the same too, and maybe 74. I want to add it to my car which was not optioned with it. It looks like this. Any sources for it are great too! Thanks Frank ROA 10634
  2. The car made it to Austin today! I drove it around a little. Great running and driving car. May have a trans leak. Has a small exhaust rattle at idle; imperceptible at road speed. Underhood insulation gone- I will replace that. Front rotors are a little warped. AC clutch is gravelly, but I knew that. The new bumper fillers are here too! Need to get them painted, which means get the car legal so I can take it to them to match the original paint. The AM / FM stereo radio and all 4 speakers work great! No 8 track darn it. All lights and power things seem fine. Now the fun (and the $$$) begins!
  3. And as I understand it, there were only red or buckskin or blue interiors available, across almost 20 colors. No black or white! http://rivowners.org/features/Ev_Stats/colortrim/76.html
  4. I've wanted one of this generation for a while now. I've had a 66,67,68,69,72, and 83. This should be fun. 1976 Riv., 78 K, original owner, 100% original paint (my first preservation car, and I'm elated). Needs bumper fillers (ordered) and tires are 20 years old. Runs great according to the videos.
  5. Hello. I'm a new Mopar owner-- I just bought a 1966 Sport Fury Convertible. It seems complete, except it has an open element aftermarket air cleaner. I would like to replace it with a stock one. My car has a 383-4bbl and only has the usual PS PB AM options. Any tips or tricks I should know? Frank Brooks in Austin PS I'm already a member of AACA. I have a 1969 Buick Riviera.
  6. I used to get off work from Jack's Hamburgers in 1977 and try to beat this song home.
  7. Did heavy-duty cooling include a full shroud and a fan clutch in '66? I know mine did not.
  8. That's amazing to me. I would be thrilled with 15K for my (nice) 69 Riv.
  9. Awesome find. I think that when you change those tires, some white or red walls would really wake it up.
  10. Excellent. I replaced my 69's AM radio with a "good" used AM/FM and it works, sure, but it's still an old radio and doesn't sound good. A rebuild, as described here, is the best way to go.
  11. Oh my stars. What a beautiful car. Congrats on having the good judgement to not let it go. WOW!
  12. Anybody got a driver quality or better bumper? I'm in Austin, TX Frank Brooks ROA 10634
  13. Thank goodness the wrecker guy saved it. Great find.
