  1. Package deal for three operable reattas in good condition 2 1988's and 1 1989 I believe. My son's cars. Too much info to list here. They are located in Boynton Beach, Florida Call me (Ken) at 561-732-9426 or son (Steve)at 561-702-8622. I think he wants about $7,000 for all three Or email me at work at hallk@bbfl.us. Thanks for reading. Ken
  2. Barney: Noticed your post and probably need new "rollers" (bellcranks?) The one headlight goes up OK but the other "flops" up and down when trying to open up. Sometimes I have to go out and lift is up to its locking position. Is there some reatta data somewhere regarding replacing the bellcranks if that's what needed? (to give to my mechanic) Please leave your business phone # for contact in your re[;u/ Thanks much. Ken ('90 white conv.)

    1982 sunroof

Noticed your post re: "82 sunroof" and wondered if anyone knows a parts supplier for a 1984 sunroof? My sunroof worked great until a little part with a rubber "O" ring broke off due to rust. I believe it enables the roof to "pop up" at the end of the closing operation. All I really know is that when this little piece broke off, the roof does not pop up and as a result, its leaking. The big question is where do I find any OEM parts for a 1984 Riv? I trust someone on this site can be of assistance. Thanks in advance. Ken
  4. sunroof started to leak due in part because of a "foot" or stop that broke off due to rust (I believe it "stops" the roof when it goes up to seal it agaist the roof itself (best description I can muster) Motor and cables work OK, but miss having it open! Does anyone have an "exploded" view of this area and the parts that make up the assembly? Also, would like to know approximate cost from anyone who has had one repaired. Please reply to this post or leave message at home and I'll call you back. Always something to deal with on these antiques!! Thanks in advance for any info. Mr. Boynton Ph: 561-732-9426 (south Fla.)
  5. I desperately need a little help from my fellow reattaphiles!! I would appreciate greatly a few of the members who are familiar with the top mechanism for a 1990 convertible. The installer is having difficulty having the top go down to its compartment at the point the top is in the vertical (half way) position. Perhaps one or two of you who might be able to help could drop me a short note with your telephone number so I could give it to the installer in the hopes its something simple or overlooked. Haven't owned the car for long and the new top can't be installed until this "sticking/stopping" position is resolved. Appreciate any phone numbers or responses. Thanks. Ken
  6. If the wrench fits........LOL
  7. THANKS FOR THE WEBSITE. I'M SURE IT WILL COME HANDY IN FUTURE.
  8. Thanks for the reference. I have already ordered a part from Jim for my convertible top and he just emailed me that he has the subject latches. God bless the internet!!
  9. Thanks for the reference. as it turns out, Jim is sending me a part for my convertible top and just informed me he has two latches he will send me. It's great that there is a web site like this to faciltates communication amongst us "old car nuts". Ken
  10. thanks for the info Barney. Now do you know where I can find used or NOS latches (handles)? Also, regarding my son's reatta and the ignition problem. He has a 1988 model not a 1989. Didn't know whether that makes any significant differences.
  11. Both "handles" that open the storage compartments behind the seats in my '90 convertible are missing/broken. Can someone enlighten me on this? I'm also looking for a south Florida (P.B.County)mechanic or shop to fix my son's '89 - He can't start the engine when he turns the key in the ignition. Anybody want to guess what might cause the ignition not to start the engine? Appreciate any info/references anyone can send. Thank you for any input. mrboynton.
  12. Interested in one of your reatta T shirts (large) do you happen to have a pic you can send me? Thank you. mrboynton (ken - new member '90 convertible). Also, do you know any sources to get an the adjusting rod for the driver's side (threaded on both ends with spring at one end and clevis on the other. Thanks again.
  13. I am in dire need of an adjusting rod for the driver's side of my convertible. The best description (nomenclature) is F/top RR RL ACTR-LH given to me by Jim finn. It's about 12- 15 inches long with threads on both ends with one end having a spring and the other having a "U" shaped portion with a connecting hole to attach to the next piece of the top mechanism. Appreciate any info/location/cost of such item including any possibility of a NOS piece. Hope the message goes through. I am a first time poster on this site. Thanks in advance for any input. Ken (mrboynton)
