  1. Can anyone tell me if the lower stainless trim pieces and wheel well molds are the same for 63 and 64 Rivs please? Also, are the rear bumper mounting brackets the same? I need some bits and pieces and would like to widen my search. Also discovered my jack is missing the part that hooks on to the bumper bar if you happen to have a spare, let me know. Regards,

  3. Jim Cannon, I would like to get the CD's you mention and I can pay by Paypal. The email address I have for you does not work
  4. Thanks Jim. Sounds like a good idea. Also the dual master upgrade details, unless there is a thread here already. Regards, Tony
  5. Hi everyone, You may have seen my Wanted Ad in the Riview a few months ago. An elderly gent contacted me from Maine about this one which he's owned for 41 years. The guy did not have email or a digital camera so I had it checked out and pics taken for me by a local ROA member. Tony's 65 Riviera I got it just over a week ago and have spent all week cleaning up the interior, removing the pin striping, and checking everything works. Only one seat belt. I have not found a spot of rust anywhere which was my main concern. It has a genuine Gran Sport engine with the LX code and dual quads. Drives and stops beautifully but runs a bit rough so have sent the Carters out to be overhauled because they were leaking fuel. My intention is to make this one into a street rod with air bag suspension and I've ordered a set of Torque Thrust wheels 16x7". There's a few items I need if anyone here can help please contact me off-list from my web site: Tony's 66 & 71 Buick Riviera and 66 Wildcat Convertible Downunder 1) Rear bumper brackets 2) LH front 1/4 "Soft Ray" Glass 3) RH Door "Soft Ray" Glass 4) More matching seat belts or just the buckles. http://www.mako.com.au/buick/65riviera/buckle.jpg 5) Thin chrome mold at bottom of RH rear 1/4 between the door and the back wheel well. I've bought a 65 Chassis Manual on eBay yesterday so I look forward to getting that so I can fix a few things. Look forward to enjoying this car because it's a beautiful model and compact compared to my other two Buicks.
  6. Thanks for all your comments guys. I'll post the Body Plate when I get it so you can help me decode it. Someone asked about the golvebox door badge which is correct and it will include the original Super Wildcat Air Cleaner which the owner had taken off. I can't wait to get it so I can unravel what this car came with from the factory.
  7. Hi to all here, A few months ago I sold my 66 Riviera for a good price and started looking for a 65 Riviera to restore because I've always loved this model. I placed a Wanted Ad in the Riview and had a few responses but most were not that exciting. Then I received a call from a gentleman in Maine about this one which he's owned for 41 years and is a Gran Sport he claims. He didn't have email or a digital camera so I had it checked out and pics taken for me by another local ROA member. It's rust free and runs well and driven to car shows regularly. When it gets here I can verify the GS claim but I'm not too worried because I wasn't looking for a GS anyway. It's loaded: Tony's 65 Riviera Cruise Control Buick Sports Steering Wheel Rear Arm Rest All power windows, including 1/4 vents Dual Quads - will come with original Super Wildcat chrome air cleaner AC 4 Note Horns Ribbed Sill panels Will come with Buick chrome rally wheels and white walls 60,000 miles on the clock (30,000 when he bought it at six years of age so who knows really) Rare white interior The vinyl roof is not original and will go as will all the other excess stuff hanging off it. It should arrive in Sydney in a few weeks. Look forward to hearing from you. Regards,
  8. Hi Riv Lovers, I live in Sydney - Australia and looking for a 65 Riviera to ship out of Long Beach CA. I'm looking for a low priced 65 Riv to completely restore and wondering if you know of any that would be suitable. a) Minor rust is okay in the right spots It needs to be a driver with brakes (to get it on and off a transport truck) c) I would prefer custom interior, power windows and tinted glass if possible d) Poor original paint is okay. (freshly painted is a waste of time because I'll be redoing it to my taste) If you think you can help, I look forward to hearing from you.
  9. Hi guys, I'm looking for a 65 Riviera and there's one on ebay which doesn't look too bad. click here If anyone is in a position to check it out in the next few days, please let me know. Regards, Tony Gentilcore ROA #10107
  10. Many thanks for your help Paul. I will follow up and see if I can get someone in the USA to buy it and ship it to me because I don't think NAPA ships outside the US
  11. If anyone knows where one could be purhased please let me know. This the gear on the column where the ignition key barrel is. A friend of mine has a tooth broken off that part which causes the starter motor to stay engaged after the engine fires up. OPG seems to have them for 78 onwards
  12. Hi Jason, Just the 66 is for sale. that was poorly wrtitten, sorry.
  13. Hi Brian, I'm looking for a donor car 65. Do you know of any in Victoria? By the way, I'm only selling the 66 Riv not the 71. Cheers, Tony
  14. Have finally decided to join this ROA forum and hope you're all well. I have a 71 Riv and a 66 Riv for sale and will soon be looking to build a 65 Riv, maybe it will be a mild custom street rod. Depends on how badly molested I can find a donor car. Would like to shoe horn a 455 engine into it because I have a good spare. Ed Raner told me height might be an issue. Anyway, look forward to chatting. Tony's 66 & 71 Buick Riviera and 66 Wildcat Convertible Downunder Regards,
