  4. Hi Joe, You said that you waited a week for my answer. Well you posted your offer on 9-2-2007 and I answered on 9-3-2007. This is hardly a week. I still want the steering gear for 100.00, and just because someone else wants the whole thing does not mean that I should get shorted. This isn't right for you to sell this to him and not to me. I immediately answered you offer and now we should have a deal. Tell me how to get ahold of you and make the proper arrangments. Thanks Dick

  19. Hi Abe, I did weld in a baffle on my crankcase breather and it seems to help alot. There is still a little dipping, but it doesn't run out like it did before. I just had a piece of metal welded from the top of the hole and then following the drain tube down. This blocks the oil from entering the crankcase breather directly. I quite please with the results. I have the car in storage now but I did run the engine for 20 min and breather never dipped while it was running, but there were a few drips overnight. I hope that this helps you too. Dick

  21. Hi, I volunteer at the REOlds Transportation Museum once a week and maybe I could find something. I also worked for REO/Diamond Reo for the last 15 years that they were in business. What kind of engines do you have? Look at the ID plate on the engines and email the information on them to me. Also tell me for each one if they are flat head or overhead valve engines. Thanks Dick Email: dickt@power-net.net
  22. Hi, I have a 67 REO Trend truck that leaks oil out of the front end of the transmission,(NP435). This transmission lies on its left side in the chassis. I use the original drain hole to fill and to that level. Am I overfilling the transmission by doing this and is that why the oil is coming out the front of the transmission? The main drive gear does not have a regular seal, but spiraling grooves to drive the oil back to the transmission. Any advice will be welcomed. Thanks Dick
